Chapter 54

Ragnar's POV

It's been a week, a long week of Davina's uncle being here, within our home while we wait to see if her other uncle, Samuli, gets the message to come here, to her.

She has been spending hours of every day with the man, he tells her stories if her mother, she seems happy yet still cautious.

She refuses to let them be alone, keeping either myself or Leif with her at all times.

Her wolf trusts him, but she still has her reservations about everything sobshe has been staying on high alert.

Every night when we are back in our room, just the three of us she tells us about her mom, stories she has been told, but the one that seems to linger with her is the one about her mother meeting her father.

That's the one that she smiles over, thinks about constantly.

Today Leif spent the day with her, I've missed her but needed to get some pack stuff done. We've pushed back my ceremony, along with hers, until we can get more of a semblance on what may be to come.
