Se connecterZara Lovegrove Moonclaw is used to being the pack misfit. In a world of sleek, fast modern werewolves, she is a proud, plus-size, and chubby female who would rather spend her time devouring romance scrolls than running with the wolves. But when her old pack falls apart, she is forced into the rogue lands of the Moonhaven Metropolis, taking a low-level maid job at the Moonlight Feast Hall just to buy her next meal. Then, a disastrous shift brings her face-to-face with Theo Kingsley Silverfang—the legendary, grumpy, and fiercely powerful Bandy Alpha Warrior who rules the Silverfang Royal Pack. Theo is brooding, intense, and completely hardened by a devastating, highly public mate-bond split with his greedy ex-mate. He has sworn off the Lunar Fate Mark forever. But the moment his eyes land on Zara’s beautiful, heavy curves and fierce green eyes, his inner wolf screams one word: MATE. When Zara's safety is threatened by a perverted stalker in her basement apartment, Theo steps in like a true warrior, sweeping her up in his arms and demanding she move into his royal estate. Living under the same roof, the explosive attraction between the grumpy Future Alpha King and his sweet, chubby Future Luna becomes impossible to ignore. Can an outcast plus-size wolf find her happy ending with the most powerful Alpha on the ice arena, or will the ghosts of his royal past tear their Eternal Moonmate bond apart?

“Take it back right now, Damon, or I will dump this entire bowl of stew on your head!” I yell, my face burning up.
My hands shake as I grip the heavy tray, the smell of roasted meat and gravy hitting my nose. I am panting, my chest rising and falling fast under my tight tunic. Being a plus-size, chubby wolf in the Lovegrove Moonclaw Pack means I already take up space, but right now, I feel like a giant target.
“Make me, Ivy,” Damon Thornclaw sneers, using my old pack name just to watch me flinch. He leans back in his carved wooden chair at the Alpha’s Table, a nasty grin stretching across his face. “You are nothing but a dropped-off stray from the Ashborne Wolfblood Pack. A fat, useless little maid who cannot even find a mate.”
The other four warriors at the table laugh loudly. The sound cuts right through me like a silver blade.
“I told you to let go of my wrist!” I scream, my voice cracking.
He squeezes harder. His rough fingers dig into my skin. It hurts, and a small whimper escapes my lips before I can stop it. My heart is beating like a trapped bird. I want to run, to hide my heavy body away from their mean eyes, but the anger inside me burns hotter than a forge.
“Come on, Zara,” Damon whispers, his eyes dropping down to look at my curves with pure disgust. “Just give me what I want. One night in the woods. Let’s see if a big girl like you can even keep up with a real wolf.”
“Never!” I shout.
I pull my arm back with everything I have. My foot slips on the smooth stone floor of the Moonlight Feast Hall. I stumble backwards, my heavy weight throwing me completely off balance.
Smash!
I crash hard into Amelia Rosewood as she walks past, carrying a massive jug of dark berry juice. The glass shatters against the floor with a sound like thunder. Deep red juice splashes everywhere, covering the floor, my face, and my white tunic. It looks exactly like fresh blood.
“Oh my Goddess!” a woman shrieks from across the hall.
I look up from the floor, my breath catching in my throat. Standing right in front of me is Lady Esme Whitlock. Her expensive, snow-white fur cape is completely ruined, soaked through with thick, dripping red stains.
I am frozen. My eyes are wide, and my whole body starts to tremble. I am finished now.
Theo Kingsley Silverfang POV
“Shut your mouth, Luca, before I break your jaw,” I growl, my voice deep and low.
I slam my wooden flagon down on the table, making the ale slosh over the side. My eyes are locked onto the back of the room. I do not care about the pack merchants, or the missing resources from our territory, or the grand tournament rules.
“What is wrong with you, Theo?” Luca Harrington asks, blinking at me. “You have been staring at the corner for twenty minutes. We are supposed to be talking about the royal tournament.”
“It is her,” I whisper.
My chest tightens. My wolf thumps hard against my ribs, howling inside my mind. It is a wild, crazy feeling that makes my claws want to burst right out of my fingers.
“Who?” Luca turns his head to look. “Wait. Is that the chubby girl from the Ashborne pack? The one Teddy used to bring around before the pack war?”
“Do not say her name,” I snap, my teeth bared.
My eyes follow the long, thick braid swinging down her back. Zara. She is different now. She lost the bright smile she had a year ago, and her soft, beautiful face looks pale and tired. She is carrying a heavy load on her shoulders, working like a common servant in the feast hall when she belongs on a throne. My throne.
“You are crazy,” Luca mutters, shaking his head. “She is a plus-size nobody from a fallen family. Your father, King Victor, will never let a broken wolf like her near the Silverfang Royal Pack.”
“I do not care what my father thinks,” I say, my knuckles turning white as I grip the edge of the wood. “She is mine.”
Before Luca can speak again, a loud shout echoes from the centre of the hall.
“I told you to let go of my wrist!”
My head jerks up. Every muscle in my body goes completely stiff.
I see Damon Thornclaw gripping Zara’s small wrist. He is pulling her close, laughing while his friends mock her size. Zara is shaking, her sea-green eyes filled with pure fear and anger.
“Theo, stop,” Luca warns, reaching out to grab my shoulder. “Do not start a pack war in the middle of the neutral territory.”
I do not hear him. The sound of her breath catching triggers something primal deep inside my blood. My vision goes completely red.
Crash!
Zara falls backwards, smashing into another servant. Glass explodes. Red juice showers over the floor, coating her skin and staining a noble lady's expensive clothes. Zara sits in the middle of the mess, looking small, terrified, and totally helpless as the entire room starts pointing and shouting at her.
Damon stands up, laughing at her pain, with a raised hand ready to strike.
I stand up so fast my heavy chair flies backwards and splinters against the wall—a massive, deafening roar rips from my throat, shaking the very stones of the hall. I leap over the table, my claws tearing through my skin, ready to rip the throat out of anyone who dares to touch my mate.
“No.”“Then you have never truly tasted beer at all, little wolf. The flavour of craft beer has so many layers of smoke and honey, it leaves that cheap water from the rogue lands far behind in the dirt.”“Someone is very excited about his drinks.”“You are right about that. I care about my craft beer just as much as I care about open-flame cooking. That is why I have two Ironfang Tavern locations and the Alpha's Table—the high-end feast hall I own for the royals.”“I am guessing you love sweet ice cream too, if you own a shop with your best friend.”“Luca is the one who could live off ice cream alone,” I say with a laugh. “We travelled to the Silver Lake Territory years ago, and he ate sweet cream three times a day for ten days straight. He had to try every single shop in the area. I teased him about it constantly. I told him he only loved it because his jaw was broken during a heavy fight on the ice, and his teeth had to be wired shut with iron threads. The only sweet thing he could
“My ex-mate is a horrible piece of work. She loves to pull everyone’s strings like puppets.”“And she is a cheating traitor,” Zara adds.I arch one dark eyebrow at her. “You followed all the bad stories about my mate-bond split?”“With huge attention,” she says, a tiny smile appearing on her face.“So, you have been tracking my moves, Miss Lovegrove Moonclaw?”She pushes a strand of her hair behind her ear, her face turning a very pretty shade of red. “You made a giant impression on me the very first time I saw you by the water.”“Was it because of my bright, happy face?”She frowns at me. “I have looked at a thousand drawings of you in the pack news, and you never look happy. You always look mean.”“Should I be scared of your tracking habits, little wolf?”Her cheeks turn even redder, looking like ripe winter berries against her soft skin. “Teddy was the very first Bandy player I ever spent time with, and when he told me his stepfather was a true legend of the game, I wanted to make
Theo Kingsley Silverfang POV “You cannot live in this broken cage for another second, Zara,” I say, my voice vibrating deep in my chest.I growl softly, my large hands still resting on her soft, shaking shoulders. The heavy scent of her fear mixes with the damp, rotten smell of the basement room, making my wolf claw at my insides. This tiny box is not fit for a wolf of the Lovegrove Moonclaw Pack, especially not a beautiful, plus-size female who deserves to be draped in the finest silks of the Royal Moon Market.“I do not have anywhere else to go, Theo,” she whispers, her green eyes looking up at me through thick, wet eyelashes. She looks so small and defeated, her yellow tunic clinging to her heavy curves as she trembles. “The Ashborne Wolfblood Pack is gone. I have no silver coins left, and no pack will hire a big, clumsy maid who just got kicked out of the Moonlight Feast Hall.”“You are not going back to that hall, and you are not staying in these rogue lands,” I snap, my jaw tig
Our waitress? I think, my heart sinking.A dark, heavy thought hits me right then. Callum is the bad guy here. He is the one stealing resources from the royal owner, and Damon is helping him do it. I am almost sure of it now.Even though Theo has all the royal power from the owner, he stays quiet and holds back. He is just trying to watch and learn their secrets today. He does not want to show his claws too early. If Callum is a rogue wolf inside the pack, it makes sense that he does not care about fairness.Theo turns his eyes back to me, his voice softening just a little bit. “Zara, why don’t you tell everyone exactly what happened?”My eyes fill up with hot, heavy tears. “Well, he—”“What is done is done!” Callum shouts, cutting me off before I can finish a single sentence. “Zara caused a noble customer to get hurt. The hot berry juice could have burned her skin. The lady is going to take us to the Grand Wolf Assembly now because of her.” He steps closer to me and points to the doo

Zara Lovegrove Moonclaw POV“Oh, you must be joking!” Callum Harrington Blackthorn laughs right in Damon Thornclaw’s face, his shoulders shaking under his turquoise coat. He shakes his head like he just heard a funny joke from a human. “No, no, no, young Alpha. That is not possible at all. You are
Zara Lovegrove Moonclaw POV“Look at this mess!” Lady Esme Whitlock screams, her face turning bright red as she jumps up from her wooden chair. She points her finger right at me, and her eyes look like they want to poke holes through my chest. “You stupid, clumsy wolf!”“I am so sorry,” I whisper.
