My hands were trembling around his shoulders while he was carrying me inside the cabin. What was wrong with me? I closed my eyes and submerged myself in his chest, not wanting to face this world anymore. He walked into the bedroom and put me down on the bed, as I was going to break if he used a paltry force.
“I am really sorry, Rowan. I never wanted to harm you.” He sat beside me, stroking my forehead gently as nothing happened. I was struggling to control my tears, but his touch was daring to break every obstacle in his way to my heart.
“I know. Are you alright?” His question filled me with shame. I turned away from him. Tears were dripping all over my cheeks, drawing trains behind. He lay beside me, holding me in his arms.
