CL Chapter 3 A Gift From Mother
“Tae, what’s going on?” I questioned, keeping the silver blade instantly back in the ark and getting up instantly. My heartbeat escalated, making me hear them in my ear like a drum. Is the silver knife my mom left me?
“Princess, it’s for your safety. Please keep the knife with you.” She requested, keeping her distance from the ark. Pleading me with her eyes. I left the knife over the ark and walked towards the window further.
The air from the room got dense immediately, making breathing difficult. She followed me and took my hands turning me to face her.
“Dear Aylin, Alone you can touch the silver. You can use it for your protection. The Queen and I just want you to be safe and sound. Is that very much to ask?” Tae questioned while letting her tears trail down her cheeks, making me melt over her words.
“Tae, keeping that knife with me wasn’t a problem, but you know it’s illegal to keep any silver. How do you sneak it into the palace? And why did my mother leave a knife for me? doesn't she know that I could touch silver?” I questioned, backing them with my reasons while removing tears drops from her cheeks.
She took a heavy breath and her face relaxed hearing I wasn’t denying to keep the knife. That blade was given to me by my mother. Indeed, if I couldn’t touch it, I would have kept it.
“In the last month of the queen’s pregnancy, a wounded fae teleported into her chamber, an entire arrow was passed through his stomach, his wounded were barely covered and blood was flowing oozing like a river. He brought that emerald studded knife with him.“
“Your mother respected fae a lot. He said, ``Time will come when her daughter needs to protect herself to meet her destiny to redefine it.” Tae responded while remembering the past events, closing her eyes, and allowing her tears to flow as much as they want.
It's hard for her to say. Her quivering lips showed how painful it was for her to share it. She was in pain as she lived that moment repeatedly.
“My queen believed in him as he told the past and future of the queen to make her believe what he was saying was crucial and necessary. He promised he will try to avoid problems in your path until you meet who redefines the path of your life.” She added, cleaning her tears while struggling to breathe well.
She opened her eyes. I could see the pride and sacrifice they made for me.
“Tae, I will keep that knife with me, but please don't cry anymore.” I requested, watching her in pain was difficult for me. She has completed the void of every person in my life.
Parents, friends, and many more. Taking a step closer to her, I cleaned her face. She shook her head in a negative.
Tightening her lips to suppress her cries more and hugged me. I have a lot of questions for you Tae, but I know you aren’t in the condition to answer whatever they are.
If mother and Tae want me to keep it, so I will. I was curious who the fae was? Species of fae are rare. They are extremely knowledgeable and vowed not to tell the future precisely.
Their predictions were constantly confusing to everyone apart from them, but her words didn’t feel like a prediction but more than the past in which he lived.
His words hinted at my safety and gave my mother that knife. I wasn't ready for something that was coming up. Much Tae believes, otherwise, she wouldn’t have told me all this.
“Calm down, my child. I won’t let anything happen to you.” She consoled me by caressing my hair and cupping my face in her other hand.
I nodded at her, keeping my eyes on the lights coming from far off, which were reassuring me, telling me to get prepared to handle every situation rising in front of me.
“What about those warriors? you know silver is banned. They will inform my father and he will doubtless punish you.” I responded hastily. She will be punished if we don't do something.
“No dear, they are trustworthy and know the seriousness of it. His highness will never learn about it. She explained, rubbing my back and holding a subtle contented smile on her face.
“It’s late Princess, rest today.” She suggested, glancing at the darkness outside the window.
It was midnight, and the moon was shining in its utmost glory. With a deep sigh, I nodded, squeezing her hands in mine, taking them from my face.
She left, making me lay down on the bed, covered with a blanket accurately up to my chin, and blew the small lamp flickering beside my bed.
I could see a small square red carpet on the floor lit by moonlight, as it was the hope in my dark life. That fae further said something about my path definer, I couldn’t understand that.
I can’t say he meant my mate because, as wolfless; I can’t be having a mate. Maybe he meant teacher or similar to it.
Falling asleep was quite an arduous task. Things that happened newly weren’t leaving my mind, making me think repetitively about them.
I get up from my bed walking towards the ark kept at the entrance of my wardrobe. The door of the balcony opened as I moved my hand in its direction and ignited the fire in the fireplace. It turned the room warmer than before.
Cool air was playing on my skin, making my long hair dance along with them. I sat down near the ark and moved my hand over it.
A large green emerald was studded precisely in the middle and surrounded by tiny diamonds, creating a flower with a green core. Petals carved in wood, graciously making it an outstanding piece of art.
I opened the ark. Soft muslin cloth was still covering the half of the knife, the edge of the cloth was torn because of its sharpness.
The knife was reflecting its shine because of fire, making it more beautiful than before. It has a T-shaped handle with the same flower design studded with priceless stones and a long slender blade standing with pride with sharp edges on both sides.
While checking inside the ark, I again found a pouch filled with sharp silver needles. It was white-colored and decorated with green embroidery, the same as the ark. This piece of silver was feeling cold over my skin, but if someone else held it would have burned their skin.
I don’t know if it was a power or constant reminder. I was wolfless and spent my life trapped inside this palace without realizing there was a princess named Aylin.
I put the knife and pouch back in the ark when I woke up. A metallic sound came from the balcony, making me curious about it.
With heavy small steps, I approached the balcony peeping down from the railing to see what was going on. The darkness prevented me from seeing anything.
It must have been my imagination. Maybe the warriors were on rounds.
I turned and took a step towards my room, but a scream thundered in the calm environment, startling me at my pace. I Jerked back to see what happened, but the view made my blood drain.
A worrier was burning in fire at the back entrance of the palace, running madly, screaming for his previous life. The warriors were laying on the ground motionless. Were they dead? What’s happening here?
Armed soldiers ran out from the back door, turning themselves into their wolf’s form, roaring aloud standing protectively in front of the back door.
What the hell? Has someone lost control of their wolf? The door of my room opened with a loud thud, scaring my soul. I ran inside as I heard the terrified sound of Tae calling me.
Her face was as pale as a vampire, as blood wasn’t existing in her body. She was horrified.
“Princess Aylin, we are under attack.”
Hiii Friends, If you enjoying the Crescenting Love then please vote for my work, your support is really encouraging for me and matters a lot to me to grow as an writer. They are best moral boosters. stay safe and healty, Reyana Segal.
Chapter 4: Heading Towards The Fate My blood froze hearing her words. I couldn’t understand what I should do in this condition? She was drenched in sweat, breathing barely. She was looking here and there while creasing her forehead. “Princess Aylin, let’s go. You need to leave right now.” She dragged me with her, pushing everything around her way. The urgency was dripping from her terrified eyes. “Attack? Who attacked us?” I asked in my baffled way, trying to cope with her speed. Do they have armies to attack the palace directly? “Rogue Vampires, take the silver blade with you.” She dashed into the wardrobe, she was frantically searching for something through all clothing. I pulled out the knife and that small pouch of needles, wasting no more time. I took a few steps back as I saw her running towards me, hol
Chapter 5: Dreamy Nightmare A warm tickle over my face woke me up from the living nightmare of my life. The heated rays of sun were penetrating from the denseness of branches, making them shine like priceless gems. I was lying on the forest ground, submerged in dirt and dried leaves. The sounds of chirping birds were resonating in unbound walls of the forests, consoling me for my loss. My entire body was aching as I tried to get up. I stood up with great difficulty using the support of the tree, realizing the reason I was running last night. My heart ached remembering the brutal events, screams, and face of Tae weren’t leaving my mind. She did many things, but I never thought she would give up her life. I will cherish this useless life for you Tae and for my mother. I will.
Chapter 6: Decision of The Alpha Rowan Selous’s pov, “Rowan, think twice about it. I am not getting any good vibes about it.” Waylen suggested in a warning tone, banging his fist over the table, making a hole in the table as the sound of cracking the table thundered in my office. He was clearly angry with my decision. I knew he would be, as my friend and beta, it was expected from him. I turned to look back at him, keeping control over my wolf. He never likes to hear someone talking louder than him or me. He lowered his head slightly in respect of his Alpha, but his eyes were still meeting mine. “I will start preparation, then.” He responded in a mocking tone, glaring at me, showing his unwillingness to do it. Rolling his eyes, he left the office immediately, making loud sounds while taking every step on wooden flooring. We basically grew up together. Only Waylen had the right to talk to me or show his anger at me.&n
Chapter 7 Troubled Mind Rowan’s Pov, My chest was tightening, escalating its beating uncomfortably, making me worried about the unknown, as something is so close to me. The dim, bright sun was shadowed by the dark clouds. Over hundred werewolves were sitting in front of me holding excited and joyed faces, to witness my marriage with Sharon, the niece of my aunt and I was standing to wait for her to complete the ceremony in an open ground in front of holy chalice. Everything was weird for me. I wasn’t excited nor sad, but some kind of uneasiness of poking in my heart as something wasn’t right. The flow of blood was rushing in my veins as I had taken the longest run of my life. It was the first time I was experiencing something which I wasn’t capable of understanding and I knew it wasn’t regarding this marriage thing. My uncle Silas was standing behind me, to support me in this decision. He looked happy as he was retiring soon fro
Chapter 8 Endangered LifeRowan’s pov,The moon was spreading its peacefulness all across the dark forest, but my heart was in turmoil. It was burning with anxiety and fear of something which me and my wolf couldn’t recognize. My battalions had already sent to help King Vincent on the battlefield under the leadership of the Waylen. It would have been convenient if I went with them too, but that night was the weirdest night of my life. He had already noticed my senses were peaked and the weird behavior of my wolf. Their howl noted they are returning to me. It won’t take long for them to reach me. I have to find it in time or I couldn’t later.Everything around me felt like it was telling me an unknown tale. I was getting drawn to the magnificent aroma of moist soil across the ranges instead of the smell of blood from the east. I looked up at the tip of the ranges peeping out from the depth of the forest. They w
Chapter 9: The Green-Eyed Warmth Aylin’s pov, I curl up to the comfortable warmth surrounding me like a cocoon of affection. It was soothing after the impact of freezing water. I pulled that moving source of heat to me, trapping it in my arms. I wasn’t ready to let it away from mbe. Everything felt like a terrible nightmare when I found myself falling into a waterfall, but the warmth made me realize it had already passed and I will open my eyes in my room again. Subtle blow of air tickling my face, I held my pillow tighter to my chest, nuzzling my face in it. An amazing smell of jungle filled my soul, but I felt suffocated when that pillow tried to hug me back. A firm, naked chest came in front of me as soon as I opened my eyes. “Ahhhh ‘’ I screamed, getting startled by the man laying in my bed with me. Pushing him far from me, I struggled to grab a night lamp from the nearby bed table and fell on the floor with a loud bang. The l
Chapter 10: Revealing Unspoken Aylin’s pov, “You are what?” Rowan asked in his deep, hoarse voice. Uncertainty was oozing through his words. Involuntarily, his hands tighten around me more and more. I knew he heard it right, so I kept my mouth shut. His eyes were so startled as he couldn’t even believe it. “Human? How is that possible? I can feel you-” He cut himself, watching me with his wavered eyes. He opened his mouth to complete his word but shut it again, loosening his tight grip over me and taking a step back from me. He stood, straightening his body, crossing his hands over his chest, taking a heavy breath. “How do you enter here?” He questioned after a long pause. Enter? Does he think I crossed the interdimensional pathway to get here? How stupid of him could be. “I am human but haven’t crossed the interdimensional barrier,” I explained, taking a seat over the bed. He didn’t move, but his gaze
Chapter 11: Painful News Aylin’s pov, Rowan nearly dragged me out with him, wrapping his chain-like hands around my waist as my waist was more of his than mine. My resistance did not affect him, but I felt as if he was enjoying it more and more. It was weird of him to treat a stranger as someone close to him. The dining area was vast and had large openings for air and sun. The wooden floor was covered with animal skin carpet below the dining table and the couch across the living room. Every decoration was natural, handmade, and eye-catching. He had a luxurious, cute cabin in the middle of the dense forest, as he wanted to be as close as nature. I could hear the chirping of the birds and the sound of the small animals running across the jungle freely enjoying their freedom, as there is no tomorrow.&nbs
