The night was draped in a somber stillness as the moon cast its pale glow upon the ancient castle.

Inside, in the grand hall adorned with elaborate tapestries and flickering candlelight, Derek went on.

His eyes, once fiery with the thirst for blood, now shimmered with a profound sadness. Tonight, he would address his loyal coven, for he had made a decision that would alter their lives forever.

He cleared his throat and went on:

"My beloved coven, tonight marks a turning point in our shared journey," he began, his voice both solemn and tender.

"For too long, we have roamed the shadows, prisoners of our own existence. But I have come to realize that true life lies beyond the confines of the night”.

Whispers spread through the gathering, but Derek continued, his gaze never faltering. "We are creatures of immense power, capable of both incredible feats and profound love.

“But in our pursuit of immortality, we have denied ourselves the very essence of what it means to be alive."
