Cassian pov

''He’s here’’ Kieran noted at the sight of our mate.

‘’I see him.’’

‘’Let’s not lose him this time’’ Darius chimed in

Kieran stiffened 

‘’Something is wrong. ' His scent has changed; it’s different and stronger, ’ he stated 

‘’And sweeter ‘’Darius added

‘’Riley Lightwood’’ the principal voice boomed through the mic as he called him out

Our gaze followed him as he walked forward. I could feel the switch in everyone’s composure. Especially the alpha werewolves among them, how they tried to lean toward his scent

Feeling Kieran's anger and possessiveness by my side, I got ready to move into the unknown.

‘’ Easy now’’

Darius warned, even though I could feel that he could hardly keep himself at bay. 

Riley did not make it to the podium before his knees buckled. Without thinking, in seconds, he was in my arms as I swiftly raced off to our apartment, taking him away from prying eyes, placing him on the sofa.

I took a look at his flushed and warm skin; he looked so ethereal as his curly ginger hair clung to his face

He groaned, muttering words I could not make sense of 

‘’Sweetheart, do you need something?'' I asked, eager to hear what he was muttering about

He muttered in response.

‘’ hot _It’s hot.’

‘’ Let’s take a bath then, that should make you feel better.’’

Halfway to the bathroom, I heard a crash. Ran back to him in seconds, only to find him in a pool of water, and by his side lay a broken jug that was supposedly on the dining table.

 I froze 

 ‘’Baby! You need to be careful! Come on!’’ 

Without much effort, I lifted him and headed to the bathroom.

‘’Is that better? Hm?’’ 

I watched him as he kept squirming and groaning in the water.

‘’ Hot, so hot’’ he whined

‘’Is it? Let me get ice then’’

Moved to get ice, but he suddenly grabbed my arm, pulling me back as I tripped and fell on him. 

He turned and sat me down in the water, straddling me.

I froze as I felt him hug me and nuzzle against my skin. I smirked at the sight.

‘’Is this better?’’ I asked 

Resting his jaw on my chest, his finger trailed from my jaw to my fangs.

‘’Careful, baby, that’s sharp and dangerous, " I tried to warn him. He sucked on my fangs. 

His sudden acts made me freeze in my tracks, but I melted into his lips.

Grimacing as I bit his lips, earning a moan from him, I deepened the kiss.

Moaning into my mouth, my grip tightened against the bathtub.

 His hands slowly made their way to my ponytail as he pulled them back. I replied with a groan.

‘’ Careful now, we don’t want things to get out of hand. " I tried to advise him, but he looked like he was out of it and rubbed himself against my hard on. My hands, which were resting on both sides of the tub, are now on his waist, gripping it tightly.

Wrapping him in a bathrobe, I put him down on the bed, his hands wrapped tightly around my neck, not willing to let me go at any moment.
