"Just stay calm."

Fawn looked up at me and grumbled, "Why do people think that works? Those very words indicate bad things. It does the opposite of calm. So why don't you spill and get it over with."

I led her to the downstairs restroom and stood at the open door.

"I appreciate the gesture, but I'm good right now. Are you afraid I'll go in my pants or something? Geez, why is everyone so crazy today? Is it that bad? You are really starting to freak me out, fairy!"
