Fawn

I tried not to think about Cassia, implying that she and Fallon were together yesterday. Surely he wouldn't have been with her and then come to me to do what we did. I had to admit, though, that I didn't really know the Summer King and kings have been notorious for infidelity and the like throughout history. It could be the same in Faerie. I was brooding on this when Fallon sat down next to me. So he startled me.

I smiled at him and saw the staff start serving breakfast. 

"Fawn?"

"Yes?" 

"Is something on your mind?"

"No, not at all. I was zoning out for a minute there."

He gave me a penetrating look, but all I could think of as he did was how utterly disappointed and hurt I would feel if what she implied were true. 

"Little one, I don't like it when you lie to me."

I didn't respond to that. I asked my own question. I had to.

"Fallon,
