Warm your bed

Chapter 4

La Reine was quiet as the maid dragged her out of the prison room, the shackles that were tied around her legs and hands made it hard for her to wall but they didn't care as they pulled her along with them, making her groan as she q

tried hard to catch up to their pace.

"I should at least know where you're taking me. Where are you taking me?!" She yelled but no one said a thing.

She was taken to a room, and there was bathed.

"Where is she?" She heard a voice ask and she looked up to see an older woman walking into the room.

"There you are." The woman said and gave her a grin.

A smile? It had been a long time since she had seen someone smile, let alone grin.

It hadn't been long since they had defeated her people but for her, it seemed like decades had passed.

"Where is the rope I sent you to bring? Bring the best rope and adornments and adorn her beautiful face." She said.

"Yes, Lady Havilland." The maids chorused and the woman nodded, before leaving the room.

Why was she going to wear fine silk and adornments? What Happened to their evil king? She wondered.

"Look at her. Thinking she would be clothed with fine silk and adornments..not knowing it is for the king to behold."

"If I were her I would try to escape now, cause I wouldn't be able to run the next morning."

"Her legs would be weak."

"How could a monster's daughter warm the bed of our King? What if she tries to kill him in the process? She's gifted as well!" La Reine's eyes widened as she heard those words.

Wait! She was adorned with silk and jewelry because she was going to be taken to his room tonight.

The blood drained from her body as she stared at the spot the maids had left.

What if...what if?

"Here are the clothes, I'd begin to wear them if I were you, the clock is ticking and the cloud is getting darker." The maid said, throwing the dress on the small bed that made a creaky sound every time she shifted.

She said nothing, walking into the bath that had been prepared for her.

She took her bath and wore her clothes.

Turning to the mirror behind her, a smile brushed past her lips as she stared at her reflection in the mirror.

She was pretty and very much princess-like.

She could recall the old days. When she would play in the river, watching potty, her fat rabbit eat all the tomatoes planted behind their backyard.

Sweet old days.

There was no need to look for a potty, she was sure he had been cooked and made for food.

A knock came on the door and she looked up with a frown.

"The time is ticking, just wear the cloth and appear however you are. Do not look too good."

She rolled her eyes, as she turned to her reflection in the mirror and smiled.

At least, she could see one thing that reminded her of the past, of her people, and the happiness she has before the war.

Cleaning her welled-up eyes, she walked to the door and opened it.

"Why were you taking so...."

The maid blinked at her and swallowed.

There was indeed a reason for the people to call her the most beautiful woman alive.

She was just in simple silk and yet looked like a Queen.

Her aura carried that of a Queen. One would be mistaken at first glance that she was a Queen.

"I'm ready to go." She said lowly and the maid nodded without a word.

Her beauty had indeed shut them up.

Walking down the stairs and up another stair to the second floor, they stopped in front of a door.

"Open the door and go in. His Majesty is not in yet." The maid said and made to bow before realizing herself and hissing loudly.

La Reine walked into the room.

Just like her father, it was huge and accommodated nothing just a throne chair and a bed close to the wall behind the chair.

There was another door which she predicted to be the dressing room and bathroom.

She walked deeper into the room, her feet touching the designed wood.

The Kingdome had been taken into captivity, and her mother was killed. Her father brutally killed her and her potty eaten!

This was no small thing.

She would avenge them sooner or later.

And when she does, she'd make them regret the fact that they didn't kill her when they had the time and power to do so.

There was a long sword on the wall, just on top of the bed.

It was beautiful and its sheath was golden in color.

This was the very sword that had slit through her mother's neck and brought forth blood. The very sword that has cut through her father's belly and made him bleed to death while she ran.

Her toes curled in anger and her eyes burned with tears.

Although she had learned that had parents had taken the Kingdom of Bakarish, giving them such cruel death was not acceptable to her at all.

She rounded the bed and was about to touch the sword...

"Touching something so powerful might get you killed Slave."

She closed her eyes, retracting her hands and leaving the part she stood closely.

"Why are you here?" He asked again, walking deeper into the room as he took off his coat and hung them on the hanger.

What nonsense was he spewing now?

The maids had brought her here.

Didn't he ask them to do that? Or did they bring her here so he would punish her?

"I won't ask again Slave." He said, not looking at her as he removed his shoes.

"The...The maids brought me here. They said you asked me to come here Your... Your Majesty." Her teeth ground together because of the last words but she did nothing.

A smile crossed his lips and he nodded.

"And what were you asked to do?"

She bit her lip, her eyes burning.

"Warm your bed!"
