Chapter Nine

Cathy was frozen to the spot she was in. She couldn’t believe all she was hearing. She couldn’t believe that her brother was right. She had thought that Carson hated her father because he was always so hard on him but Cathy was shocked. Her father had been so hard on him because Carson knew the truth. “The house is awfully quiet. Where are he kids?” Matilda asked.
