Chapter One

Mr. Smith walked in, from the look on his face you could tell that something was a mess. Chester who was sitting next to his mother, stole a glance at her in amazement.

Without uttering a word, she walked out of the room towards their master bedroom where her husband had headed to.

"What is the meaning of that!" Miss Lindsey confroted him as he stepped in the room.

Mr. Smith didn't reply but just gave her a scornful glance which made Lindsey to step back. He removed his court and hunged it on a hunger and left again hurriedly towards sitting room where they had left their son in a world of thoughts.

He stepped in like an angry lion, Chester in a frightful state, squized himself in one of the corners. Mrs. Lindsey had arrived and stood at the door in amazement looking at her husband, she had studied him in  a few seconds and noticed that he was boiling intensely with anger within which he was trying to hide from his wife and son.

"Hi dad," Chester started a chat in an alarmed voice.

"You are still younger to start absconding directives," his dad sounded a warning to him while trying to control his anger which was evident from his voice.

"Am sorry honey," mrs. Lindsey intervened, "today Chester was busy with his friends and he could not make it to town. Am sorry for that."

"What do you mean by je was busy! Was what he was doing more important that his academics?" Mr. Smith asked angrily while glancing towards Mrs. Lindsey, his face had turned red in anger.

"Concerning his admission letter, I had made an arrangement with Chelsea, she brought it," she answered filling relieved after noticing what was causing all chaos, "go and bring it, it's near my bedroom draw."

Chester walked out in a hurry towards his parents' bedroom, he met his sister Chelsea in her jovial mode walking towards the sitting room. Chester was the eldest son to Mr. and Mrs. Smith, he was a teenage of around seventeen years while her younger sister Chelsea was around 14 years.

"What is the meaning of that, you are supposed to be happy," Chelsea said to him happily, "today you just made an enormous step in life, joining Harvard University isn't an easy task."

Chester didn't say a word he just walked past him, this made Chelsea to feel lonely. She continued and stepped in the sitting room only to find an unwelcoming atmosphere surrounding her parents.

"Mum! Dad! What's the big deal that is causing this horrible state," she asked while smiling sheepishly while going towards her dad.

"Do you know that your dad almost met a car accident," Mrs. Smith informed her in a scared voice.

"Sorry dad," Chelsea apologized as if she had done something wrong.

"It's ok my daughter, am well, it was a crazy woman who almost crushed into my car while we waited on a highway," he comforted her while hugging her warmly and wiping her tears.
