Chapter Twenty Two

The old Volkswagen parked near an electric pole and with no hestation they alighted and headed to where they saw a heap of ashes puffing black smoke upwards. They stood mesmerized by what they saw at the scene.

Karen bent down with her head spinning, she looked at Chester who was busy inspecting a heap of ash as if he was searching for something.

JQ Street which had been the most lively and lovely street in Gordon city looked like an old abandoned horrific town. They looked all round the street in trace even for a figure of a human being but saw non except a cracked glass window and a young girl who was looking at them from the storey building which had faded maybe due to effect of the chemical that had been used while attacking them by Mr. Gordon.
