THE VIEW FROM LOTUS.

"Lotus" my name was called, tearing me away from my thoughts. I turned around to find Lucas approaching me.

"What have you been up to?" I've been looking everywhere for you. You've been so silent since we started getting ready to go to the ball. "Don't tell me you're reconsidering our plan," Lucas said to me.

"No, I love our plan of action." "I'd love to live in this castle," I told him, and he smiled.

"All right, we should be on our way now." The king is expecting us. "I'd like to introduce you to them," he added, and I nodded before following.

We checked into a designated room. The people there were conversing and laughing. When they detected our presence, everything fell silent as their gaze was fixed on me. I gulped as I was staring at these strange faces.

"Lord Lucas, you never told me you had such a beautiful daughter," said one man, and Lucas could only smile. He motioned for me to come forward, which I did.
