Theodore’s POV.

As soon as the first light of day came up, I was up on my feet, headed towards the healer’s hut.

Caleb’s questioning the night before piqued my curiosity. I could barely get any sleep throughout the night as my mind wandered about the necklace and its meaning.

“Tap Tap.” I made light knocking taps on the healer's door.

Though she was known to be a moody one, I prayed to the moon goddess to at least put her in a good mood. That way, she may be willing to give her attention and give me honest answers to what I seek.

In a moment, the door swung open. She appeared in her usual dark regalia. Mood as sour as I always knew it. Dark and broody.

Bummer.

It seems the moon goddess was in no mood for prayers. But I’d still have to try.

“Morning, healer.”

She gave no response, just stepped aside, gesturing for me to come in.

No surprise there.

I walked in. Taking in deep breaths, I mustered up the courage to bring forth my questions.

“How may I help you, sir?” Her gloomy voice

Theodore’s POVAfter Violetta left the room, I ran after her so we could settle things. But when I found her at the foot of the healer’s door, she was passed out on the floor, and the healer was nowhere to be found. With no other choice, I was about to take her to the real physician when I heard a healer's voice from behind me.She opened her door when we placed Violetta on her table. Now I watched as she shook on the table, making incoherent sounds. Her forehead was drenched in sweat. Her hands tightened at the edge of the table almost at the point of paleness. All these will happen for him while her body will relax again.“Is she going to be okay? What does that sound she’s making mean?”The healer said nothing, but I didn’t have time for her gimmicks. I shook my feet, bouncing her. “Ashantu, I do not have time for your games. Can you tell me why she’s in such a position? And I mean now.”She stared at me and I expected her to dismiss me, but to my surprise, she didn’t.She sighed.

Carrissa’s POVI stood by the kitchen, watching as the maids put together the dinners of everyone. They were each differentiated by the room numbers they were meant for. The moment I noticed the room number of Theodore, I got to work.I walked into the kitchen, earning bows from each of them. A wide smile stretched across my face.I wasn’t even the official Luna yet, and they were already respecting me. I wasn’t surprised. Apart from being the incoming Luna, my father, the Beta, was also back in the palace, bringing back the respect that we once lost.I could already see my future as the most respected Luna in all of Silvermoon.“The Luna accepts your greetings, rise all of you.”As the incoming Luna, I knew they couldn’t refuse my orders so I began.“I’ve been getting reports about people mixing up their foods. I’m tired of the complaints, so things would have to change around here.” I paused, looking around for any sort of questioning looks. None. There was a silence like a gravey

Violetta’s POVAs I opened the door, about to leave the room, Theodore pushed it closed from behind me.“You can’t keep avoiding me forever; you know that, right?”“Please, just let me go.”“Why? Because of something you heard me and Caleb say that we actually didn’t?” I turned to him sharply, my eyes glaring daggers at him.“So what, you mean I’m lying?”“No, that’s not what I meant.”“So what do you mean, Theodore?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest.“I don’t even know what you saw, Violetta. And the little you told me was vague. Unclear. I asked Caleb, and he doesn’t remember us having any conversation that fits into that context.”“Obviously, do I expect you to say anything else?““Violetta, you’ve got to help me here. What did you hear or see me and Caleb discussing about you?”“Fine, since you want to lie about it, I’m just going to spell it out there. You told Caleb…” I paused, breathing. “You told him that you only pitied me, and that’s why you kept me around.”He looked

Theodore’s POVI watched, startled in my own spot, as she ran away. “That I heard what you said… To Caleb. I heard everything you told him about me.”Her words kept ringing in my ear. What could she have heard me tell Caleb?I couldn’t remember telling him anything specifically about her. At least, not something that would piss her off like this. When I finally returned to the room that evening, she still had not returned. But I met Caleb and decided to ask him if we had discussed anything remotely close to what could have pissed her off.“Umm, Caleb?”“Yeah, what’s up, man?”“Umm, do you remember us discussing anything about Violetta?”He stared blankly. “No, no, I don’t really. Why do you ask?”“Are you sure?”“Yeah, man. If we did, I would remember; I’m not an idiot.”I sighed. “So why does she think you and I were discussing something so bad about her that she basically ran away from me?”“What? She ran away from you?”“Yeah, she said she overheard you and me discussing somethin

Violetta’s POV.I felt myself falling into Theodore's arms, convinced I was about to pass out as usual from my seemingly irrevocable weakness. But just as I fell onto him, eyes closed. “Are you okay, Violetta?” Theodore’s voice called out behind me, bringing me back to reality. “Yeah, yeah, I’m fine,” I said, my voice a little breathy.“What did you feel? Why did you fall back like that?”“I have no idea; I just felt something within me. It wasn’t weak, and it wasn’t strong. Just…”“Balance?” His voice cut in.I flung my face to his. “Yeah, exactly. It felt like balance. You know, like something was happening. Not bad, not good. Just an occurrence. One I wasn’t scared of, one that didn’t seem like it wanted to eat me alive.”“And your wolf, did… Did you feel her? Or anything else?”I looked away, a bit of shame settling over me. “Well, I may have misspoken. I didn’t feel my wolf, so I guess there was a bad part to it after all.”He immediately settled his hands on my shoulders. “Hey,
