Chapter 4

Zane POV

Ever since the day that I've met her, this voice that's been rushing through my head couldn't stop. Finding out in a snap of second that she's my mate, a mere human. It's so annoying that I'd want to rip my head off.

"Zane, " Ethan suddenly called up on me. Walking into my direction.

I offered him a drink but he declined. Wanting to tell me something which

"Amira and the pack are here." He whispers through my ears. That's one thing I for sure didn't want to hear.

I started loosening up my tie and properly preparing myself, In every certain way. Amira isn't the type of person who shows up in this kind of situation without any valid reason.

"What's she up to?" I questioned being quite unsure. I can already smell her presence. Considering that a crowd is forming in one place. I know that she's here.

I saw her walking out from the crowd greeting each one of them. Then looked straight into my eyes. Her heels clatters as she got nearer on where I'm located and stopped. Silence was all over the place. Just what I'd suspected, she compelled them all at once.

...

"Hello brother, missed me?" Amira then said smirking, fixing my tie and purposely tightens it, hard enough that I winced.

"You're not suppose to be here, Amira" I warned as I grasped her hand to move it out of my sight and went past her direction .

"Don't turn your back at me, Zane" she utters, swiftly gripping my shoulders to stop me from going any further.

"What brought you to come here?" I asked, facing her curious on what her reasons are.

"I mean no harm brother but I have to say, your mate is a 10/10." Amira said playfully.

I looked at her intently. Unaware on how she'd gotten that information.

"Too bad though, it's a pathetic human being ." She added dissatisfied and began circulating me.

"And a Delavin, what an impeccable taste you have brother. You truly are just like our father." Amira whispers teasingly provoking me.

"I never even want her in the first place, Amira!" I explained with a hinge of irritation.

"Is that so, well then if I may, I'll gladly rip her heart out." She threateningly said, giggling not knowing what's going on inside her head.

What she said angered me, slowly transforming as my fangs started coming out, stretching my fingers that caused my nails to sharpen and lengthen.

"You can't afford any further distractions Zane, focus on our plan." Amira looks at me with seriousness in her eyes while patting my shoulders that calmed me down.

"Well speaking of distractions, there she is ." Amira stated.

I gazed at her gulping, a feeling of eagerness on wanting to hold her. She looks unbearably beautiful that's what my mind kept on thinking. And that guy who's standing right beside her, holding her precious hands. I want to break his every single bones. Why was he holding her hands when she's supposed to be mine.

"Her fiancé " Amira looks at me and I started regaining control on my emotions.

" It's an instinct when having a mate to protect, to care and have sorts of feelings towards her that can trouble us all. I'll give you a month to reject all of your affection. It's an order, I'll kill her with my bear hands right infront of you. If you're unable to do so."She apprised.

"This is not a threat but a promise, Zane I'm doing this for your own good." Amira warned me.

All of the things she said was indeed the truth. I can't be involved with her at under any circumstances. She, who's destined to be my mate, rejecting her is the best choice . We've been preparing till this day and I can't let anyone ruin it, not even her.

Sylvia's POV

"If you may excuse me, I have to go."

I left Asher behind, hated the feeling of being degraded by a Stanford.

I grabbed the whine that's been offered by the waiter.

"Having a hard time, Miss Delavin?" An unexpected greetings from her highness, Bella. Youngest daughter of Maximilian, ranging the same age as me.

"Surely not, your highness" I responded and bowed to show respect.

"Oh please, would you stop that. I'd like it if we have somewhat more of a normal conversation." She insists.

"If that's what you want, Bella." I stated.

"You're still as cold as ever Sylvia, hayst " we both laughed beyond our actions.

I considered Bella as my only friend ever since we were little. The only person I trust the most.

"It's been so long since I've got to see you." I said while sipping my whine.

"Well about that, I've been researching." She informed me about her current status.

"I have something important to inform you, Sylvia." Bella mumbles as she got closer for me to hear what she's saying, properly.

"Follow me" she grabbed my hands and led me into coming with her.

We stopped when we've arrived at a certain room full of royalties heritage for centuries.Mostly books, I'm not sure if we're even welcomed on coming inside in this secured place.

"You're dreams, that you've been trying to tell me made sense now." She said but I'm still unsure on what she meant.

She used her mana to gather the books. Which caused it to levitate and then it began to open in a certain page. Chills were all over my body as I saw the monstrous beast drawn inside the book.

So all this time, I thought it was nothing but my imagination turns out to be something real. I began looking at her in disbelief. I stepped nearer to see what was written. An ancient scripture, but I somehow could understand having no idea how I'm capable on doing so.

"It's written in Vinch'ier" I utter which shocked Bella.

"How did you know?" She asked me.

"I don't know I just do, Bella" I answered her but she's still surprised that I'd know this random scripture.

Based in here, this creatures are cursed by the first king itself Henry Velry. A curse spell that's been set upon those who wronged his majesty. Called the divine punishment that all of them feared. A curse for immortality that contains many abilities. At first it was considered a blessing and not a punishment but as the time went by all things had changed. Flesh eating beast that killed tons of human.

An organization decided to extinguish each and everyone of them. But failed due to the fact that they were too powerful for them. But instead of backing down they observed on finding out their true weakness that they used against them. That led to extinction of the wild creatures.

"That can't be true, royalties are the only ones who are able to read that, Sylvia." Bella utters with confusion marked at her face.

"They're the Lycans"  I said with my low voice slowly stroking the book. I got so intrigued that I wanted to know more information about them.
