EVA is missing

Brendon’s POV

“She must have suffered a lot in the horrible place to become this insecure!” I sighed in frustration. If only I could have made it a little early, Eva could have been normal.

I sat there beside her bed, watching her sleep comfortably. My hand instinctively moved close to her face, stroking her cheek gently. “She needs to be trained with the female warriors of my pack to get rid of her weakness,” I smiled.

Just then, my phone rang. I ran my hand into the pocket, pulling out the device. It was a text notification from Logan.

“It’s urgent? He wants me to come to the warehouse this instant!” I glanced at Eva sleeping. I was worried about Eva dreaming of nightmares again if she was alone.

I adjusted my suit and walked out to the doctor’s office. “Send one nurse to be there for Eva.”

“W…Who’s Eva?” he asked, making me angry.

“The one in VIP ward 055.”

“Understood, Boss.”

Now that I was done with it, I hurried out of the hospital to the parking lot. Getting inside my car and headed to the warehouse of my company. That’s the warehouse where raw materials and goods of my company are kept, although there’s still a secret underground dungeon.

I increased the speed of my car because my instincts were telling me something bad was going to happen. I have to hurry; otherwise, my warriors will be in danger. Those traders we raided yesterday are no easy criminals.

“Alpha, you’re here,” as I arrived at the scene, Logan greeted me. His face was covered in blood, including his hands.

I got out of the car. “What’s wrong, Logan?”

He funnily scratched his head as he answered, “I was just kicking some senses into those inhumane prisoners.”

“How’s everything going?” I asked.

“Everything is going as your words, Alpha.”

“Good.”

I walked towards my office to look at the reports myself. I wanted to collect enough testimonies against this illegal blood-trading business so that I can hand over the criminals to the corps.

I kicked the door to my office, and as it opened, I rummaged through the files placed on the table.

“Organ trafficking, slave trading and blood trading of werewolves! They’re involved in every kind of crime,” I roared sadistically, reading the reports.

“There are three main bosses we captured from yesterday’s raid. The co-workers were already dead by our warriors in the fight,” Logan informed with a satisfied smile.

Hmm, at least it gives peace to my heart. I don’t want any of them to stay alive. Even if I turn those three bosses into corps, I’m sure Michael will not allow them easy death.

This thought made me laugh. “Vivian Richards, the manager of blood trading and slave trading,” I read further.” Paul, the manager of the blood trade and Saken, the manager of organ trafficking.”

“These three are underliners of different illegal trading backed up by the NOX Mafia group,” Logan reported.

“We have to torture these guys to spit out their head boss’s identity.” My fingers tightened on the file I was holding as my disgust grew into anger towards NOX.

“Alpha, don’t worry. I’ll make them talk even if they’re dead,” Logan gritted his teeth. To be honest, people say Blood Moon Pack’s Alpha is ruthless, but the real madman is Beta Logan.

If anything happens to me, Logan is the first person to take care of it.

I relaxed myself in the chair, slowly reading the reports while Logan sat on the sofa, whistling lazily. Just when I was having a peaceful time, some guards hurriedly stepped inside the office without knocking.

Logan paused whistling; with murderous eyes, he glared at the guards and asked,” What is so urgent that made you rush inside Alpha’s office without knocking?”

Here he goes again; Logan is a hot-tempered werewolf who doesn’t know the limit of his anger.

“We apologize, but the raided criminals from yesterday have escaped from the dungeon,” they dropped the threatening news.

“What do you mean by escape?!” I punched the table aggressively, breaking it into tiny pieces.

Those guards started trembling as if I’ll smash them. They must not have gone so far; if I head now, I’ll be able to track down their scents.

“Leave it to me, Alpha,” Logan reported and rushed outside with the guards.

I massaged my forehead in frustration. No criminal has succeeded in escaping from my dungeon. How were those three managers able to do so? I also headed out to the dungeon underground. Sliding the door of one small room in the alley, a staircase appeared down to the dungeon. I stepped inside, closing the door behind me.

As I went downstairs, I could see my men running here and there, panicking for something. This warehouse was not accessible to all my pack members; only the hunter and warrior-ranking werewolves were given work here. They used to guard this dungeon where all the criminals from raiding were kept for trials.

“Rako, how did this happen?” My voice reverberated inside the dungeon, grabbing everyone’s attention. They stopped whatever they were doing and bowed down.

“I deserve death, Alpha; because of my carelessness, the criminals escaped,” Rako apologized, bowing in front of me. A sarcastic smirk crawled on my face. Rako was fourth in command and a loyal member of my pack.

“But it looks like he was bribed by those managers,” my wolf sneered.

“I’ll search him later; first, I should...” I paused when a text notification flashed on my phone’s screen.

DING! DING!

I read through the text, and my hand started shaking.

‘EVA is missing. She’s nowhere to be found in the hospital.’
