CRESCENT PACK

"Who is the father of that bastard inside your womb, Kimberly?" Alpha Nathan questioned emotionlessly.

She remained quiet and kept her head bowed.

"Have you gone deaf?!" His yell almost made her fall from the bed.

"I've already said all there is. I don't know-" She tried to say but was cut short as he raised his hands, and she instinctively placed her hands across her cheeks to minimize the effect of the slap which was about to land on her cheek.

"Shut up, you bitch!" Nathan snarled and Kimberly blinked, startled by his roar.

"Ugh. How dare you look at me as if you are a saintess when you are carrying another man's child in your womb? You dirty whore!" He bellowed and Kimberly flinched, tears rolling harder down her cheeks.

She closed her eyes, not bothering to justify herself when she had already tried everything she could. It didn't matter to him that she had no choice…

She sighed, memories of her life flashing through her mind. From the pampered princess of the pack, now she had become the hated outcast, and it was all because of the love she had for Nathan. A love that he had once been desperate for. She was so happy when the moon goddess gave her Nathan as a mate at the time when everyone mistreated her for not finding a mate on her sixteenth birthday as it was an abomination in her pack for one not to find a mate on their first shift.

Everything was going well in her life until when her father died. At his funeral, she had passed out in the arms of her favorite childhood friend, Kyle. He has always been there for her whenever she needed him the most. Her dad was her anchor and the only person she confides in when she is in trouble. She didn't know her mother as she was told that she died while giving birth to her. 

But everything changed for her when Nathan started suspecting her. He started containing pain randomly. He claimed that Kimberly was having secret affairs with Kyle. Everyone in the pack started hating her, thinking she was cheating on him when she never even looked at another man. 

Even when she did nothing, she tried to win his forgiveness, and that was when he continued cheating on her, saying she deserved it for hurting him. And to hurt her worse, he even refused to touch her. Still, she took it all, thinking that as long as he was in her life, she could tolerate anything.

It was after the night that Nathan came back home drunk from one of his escapades with other maidens and declared that his love for her was dead, she was in so much pain and decided to go out and ease off her pains. She stopped by a bar and was drugged and raped by a stranger. She did all she could to run for safety but by then it was too late, and the aphrodisiac had taken its effect. She had no choice but to have sex with him to save her life as she was overpowered.

She had lost all hope in life and that was when she realized she was pregnant. Even when it was not her mate's and even if it was not conceived out of love, it was still her flesh and blood. The only hope left in her miserable existence. And she just wanted to live the rest of her life with her baby, away from every drama and hatred.

"I will ask you for the last time, Kimberly, who the fuck is the father of that bastard!" He thundered, snapping her out of her deep trance.

As she kept mute, he angrily pushed her back on the bed and tore off her clothes.

Kimberly whimpered as she knew what was going to happen. He was going to have his way with her, against her wish, yet again. 

The sound of ripping clothes, sounded in the room as they landed on the floor.

Without warning, he spread her two legs apart and thrust into her, and she yelled in pain. He didn't even wait for her to adjust to the feel of him in her, and he began thrusting forcefully like a horse.

She doesn't know between the feeling of not being touched by her mate a few months ago and the feeling of sexual assault and rape by the same person, feels better. Sex was supposed to be pleasurable, sensual, and a sign of intimacy between two couples but in her current condition, the opposite is the case.

Ever since he concluded that her child wasn't his, he always raped her on daily basis, as punishment.

Her legs pressed down on each other, and she hissed in pain as he stood up from her.

Her body felt sore, and it was all it took not to break down in fresh tears.

"You will have to abort it! I am the Alpha of this pack and can't allow you to keep a bastard under my roof," He ordered as he made his way towards the door.

"Nathan! Please, I don't want to abort my baby, it is my flesh and blood," she said as she held him back.

"Then, I will have no option but to kill you and the baby as you will be of no use to me and the pack," he added, taking her hands off him and leaving the room.

His last words broke Kimberly into pieces. She can't afford to lose her unborn child nor will she allow him to continue using her as a sex tool.

Was this the same man who had once showered her with awkward compliments and sang silly love songs for her? The guy who followed her everywhere with his puppy eyes full of love until she had no option but to surrender to his charms? The same boy for whom she had thanked the moon goddess for giving her as a perfect mate? How did it all end up like this?

She had to do one thing to save herself and her baby. And she will have to be very fast with the plan.
