Chapter 35: Triggered

Roman suddenly appeared in the bathroom as I had cleaned up. I had just gone to the nearest one, and after opening the door, he leaned against the doorframe, watching me. I couldn’t quite understand the look in his eyes as he watched me, and I looked at him, confused.

“What?” I asked.

“Do you want to go for a walk before we see your family?”

“Why?” I asked him.

“Just to spend some time together. I think it was quite a lot for you what just happened.”

I didn’t want to think about what had just happened and I crossed my arms, shaking my head.

“I want to go home,” I told him.

“Are you sure?”

“Yes, I want to go back home. I want to go back to my own room and forget I was even here.”

Roman narrowed his eyes, and I watched them shine yellow, as he pressed both hands to the doorframe, leaning a little forward.

“This isn’t going to be forgotten, little mate.”
