"When you are done with the introduction,  you come in here Omega!"

I roll my eyes as Darren open the door. I walk in elegantly, I am not going to allow myself to be intimidated.

The Alpha stands in front of his desk. An expansive and seemly expensive mahogany desk that dominates the room, decorated with intricate carving of wolves.

The floor is adorn with plush, hand-woven rugs, the windows has luxurious velvet drapes, the sofa and armchair , upholster in rich leather. Most part of the table is occupied with files and papers neatly arrange on it.

On one side of the office, is an ancient family photo hanging on the wall, one of the men on it has piercing hazel eyes. The other side, houses gleaming trophies from notable hunt, I suppose, from the head of a lion of that of a wolf. I swallow hard.

All this while, the Alpha stand face down on his desk, going through a file while talking to me.

Using this opportunity, I take in his overall appearance, with his head down. He is wearing a crisp, white button shirt, sleeves roll up to his elbows revealing a strong fore-arm, dark jeans and scuff leather boots. He has a rich chestnut colored hair, thick and messy also, muscular and athletic built, with broad shoulders......

Suddenly, he raise his head up, I hold my breath subconsciously for a few seconds, as my heart skips beats, taking in the carefully chiseled jawline, prominent cheekbones and a sharp nose, his piercing hazel eyes, the glow from them almost gold, with an intense commanding gaze.

And ohh my God, he is extremely handsome. God-like...!

My wolf, couldn't help but coo in admiration, I am star-struck! I find it difficult accepting that, this is the face behind that extremely rude and condescending voice!

But that effect, only last for a moment until his harsh words is thrown at me again, snapping me back to consciousness.

"One of the rule of this pack, Omega, is never to keep the Alpha waiting!" he snaps.

"Such a show-off" I thought.

Staring at him blankly, I apologize.

He nods. Clapping his hands, the door opened again. A middle age man probably in his 40's, walks in with the Beta, Darren.

"This is doctor Dathan,Omega. He will be in charge of your investigation." says the Alpha.

I raise one of my brow high in confusion. Yet, without even bother explaining, he continues.

"Luckily, the woman you slashed her throat...."

"I brushed it. Not slash!" I interrupt, to clarify.

"Second rule, Omega, do not interrupt the Alpha when he speaks!" he snaps at me again, looking directly into my eyes.

I scoff silently, he is indeed frustrating!

"As I was saying, the woman you brushed her throat, survived luckily for you! Her clan is also dropping the case against you after my rigorous interference..." he pause looking at me.

My expression is still blank.

Is he expecting gratitude?! after dragging me into that cell and starving me for a night?! He's definitely not going to get a 'thank you', if that is what he's hoping for! He didn't even care when I said the killer wiped my entire pack!

"I will like you to recount your story again to Doctor Dathan." he says.

***************

Thirty minutes later, I finish recounting the entire ordeal of how my pack was wiped in a night due to wolfsbane and sliver poisoning.

Everywhere is quiet. Everyone is too. And for a moment, I have my hopes high, that they have finally believe me, and that this pack is going to help avenge my pack! But I am wrong!!.

"You said, the tequila was poisoned with Aconitum napellus wolfsbane, a very toxic and most deadliest wolfsbane and everyone drank out of it including you. How come you're still alive?" The Alpha asks, with his hands cross on his chest, looking at me sternly, with suspicion.

I look around to see the same look on his Beta, Darren and Doctor Dathan.

"You're not thinking I murdered my pack, are you?" I ask, my breathing heavy.

"You said it was a full moon and you were struggling to stay in control.." says the Alpha, in an attempt to reiterate my words.

"I was struggling to stay in control, didn't mean I went on a killing spree! And if I had lost control, it should be my claws on their necks not poisoning them with wolfsbane!" I retort.

"True. But how comes you survived when everyone died?! The wolfsbane kills in 15 minutes tops after consumption. Yet you ran 20 miles here, A-LIVE! Can you explain that??" He asks, with those accusing eyes glaring at me.

"I don't know. I swear, I don't", I reply confused.

"Good. Which is why doctor Dathan is here. He'll take blood samples from you and investigate why only you survived."

He signals the doctor. Who brings out a very large syringe.

"It's going to hurt just a little" the doctor says.

I nod approval.

He pierce me, taking a quantity of my blood as sample. He place a cotton wool wet with some healing ointment on the little bleeding hole, to stop the blood. Not that I need it anyway. But I thank him.

He stand up, bows to the Alpha and leaves the room.

"In the meantime, you'll have to live with us. Everyone have duties they perform to contribute to the growth of the pack and you will have one too." The Alpha begins.

I just stand, listening to whatever he have to say uninterested. I thought he is a brilliant Alpha, but he is far from it. He, thinking I had poisoned my own pack with wolfsbane, is just absurd!

"You'll be my personal servant, so I can keep and eye on you. You'll clean my office and room, serve my food and stay awake till I go to bed...," he keeps listing.

He claps his hand again, a servant came in carrying a dress on a tray.

He picks up the dress and shoves it into my hands.

"Here is your uniform!" Any questions Omega?" he asks, in his usual harsh tone .

Trying to contain my now boiling anger, I ask him. "How long before I get to stop the servitude?"

"Until I say so!"

That is his reply! That snob!!

"Anymore questions?" he asks.

"None!" I reply.

"On that queue you may leave my presence, Omega!" he turns, going back to his file.

Darren is standing behind him, quiet all the while.

I turn and walk toward the door angrily, almost getting to the door, I change my mind. I turn back, walking up to him, I grab his hand and jerk him round face forward towards me, with an unusual strength that surprise me.

He has a shock expression on his face, and I am just about to make it worse.

"I am not an Omega! I have a name, and that is Alessia!! And I was a Luna to be of the Waterwood pack. I will deeply appreciate it, if you drop the deteriorating way you refer to me as Omega! I am not a lone wolf and I do not seek to be adopt as a member of your pack, Alpha!"

With that I walk out of the office, gracefully with my head held high, With the Alpha's mouth still agape.

I am never a trash and will not allow myself to be treated as one by some egotistic Alpha!

"Egotistic and misogynistic jerk!" I curse beneath my breathe, trying to find my way to the room the Beta said to be my temporary lodging.

But the doors all look so identical.

"Great!" I thought.
