Alessia's POV:

Few minutes later. I am dressed up in a fit mermaid-cut, deep moonlit blue colored silk gown, with high round neckline, a shimmering sliver clasp, sleeves long and fitted, a slight bell shaped cuffs, and a defined waistline with delicately beaded belt that accentuates my curves.

The attendants leaves me in the room.

I stare back at my self in the mirror, my silky sliver-blonde hair is did up in a bun, revealing my slender neck, with few locks pouring down my face.

I am a natural beauty, having a porcelain-like beautiful skin with a subtle sheen of moon glow, piercings emerald green eyes couple with a very long and lush lashes, arch brows, full lips, a pointed nose and a hour glass stature. I was my pack's pride, a Luna in training before, my entire pack got wiped out.

Flashback:

"You'll soon be the Luna of the strongest pack in the world. Derek should consider himself so lucky". My uncle, Daniel, bragged that night.

He took over as the Alpha of our pack; The Waterwood pack, after my parent died a mysterious death. One that nobody wants to tell me about. I am only told they died. I was so young when they did. So, I only grew up knowing my Uncle and his wife Ashley, his Luna, as my foster parents.

"I don't want Derek", I argued, even though was is useless doing so.

Alpha Daniel sipped from his glass of Champagne. "You will want him when you see him. To be his Luna is every woman's dream. You should consider yourself lucky, Pumpkin," he said as he danced away to his Luna.

It is was a night the Alpha arranged in my honor. Before I am sent off to my mate. Everyone in the pack rejoiced on my behalf, and of the strong alliance my marriage would bring but I sulked while everyone else partied. There was free booze, drinks and food.

I couldn't complain too much, the marriage was my duty to the pack. Thus, I downed glass after glass of tequila hoping to get drunk and forget my sorrow.

But somehow, a werewolf couldn't get drunk, no matter how hard they try.

But this night felt different. I began to feel dizzy, to feel drunk...!

That is unusual..! Werewolf can't get drunk.!!

I steadied my feet, to search for my uncle in the wild party crowd. Then, I noticed I was not the only one drunk, it was almost everyone.

"What's going on!"

Suddenly, my uncle fell into my hands covered in blood.

"Run, Alessia, we've been infiltrated!" he moaned in pain.

"No, we have to summon everyone, I have to notify everyone." I had reply as I yelled.

"Help! The Alpha's is hurt, somebody!".

"Quiet Alessia!" he said, as he places his bloodied palm on my mouth. "You have to leave, run to the Greenwoods pack. The Alpha, he'll receive you".

"No, no! I can't leave you here Uncle!"

My eyes darted around for help. I saw sliver crescent shape daggers flashing in the air and back, and bodies, falling.

"No, this is my pack, no one hurts my pack," I felt enraged, yet the tequila isn't wearing off. My wolf whine weakly too. I felt weak.

"The tequila is poisoned!" My uncle explained.

"Poisoned?! We can heal from poison" I replied.

"It's wolfsbane Alessia. You have to leave, that dagger is forged out of sliver, I can't survive it. You have to stay alive and thrive." he groaned, "Here." he hand me a sliver pendant, "Your father had always want you to have this. It's an heirloom. Your mother's!" He murmured.

"Now, go quickly. I'll buy you time! You have to make a small cut to let out the poison, then allow yourself to heal, once you're in the woods. Run Alessia! Run, far from here and don't look back!!" he pushed me, urging me.

With tears falling out of my eyes, I ran. I turn to see my uncle charging towards one of the killers. He got outnumbered like everyone else and was stabbed repeatedly, until he fell - dead!

I ran blindly, bumping into trees and branches and roots. I fell down, yet stood up again and I kept running.

I felt like a coward.

Then, I noticed a figure in the woods few meters before Greenwoods border, chasing me. I saw a familiar flash.

The crescent dagger.

I divert, running deeper into the woods. I grew up in this woods, so I found it easy navigating through them in the dark, the full moon is rising, and I was losing control.

Suddenly, I stopped running. The full moon was now fully out, and slowly, I felt my entire bones began to crack and bend against my will - I shifted into my full wolf form.

Transformation!

Something I have never successfully done.

The intruder charged at me, and I attacked.

What happened after that I don't remember.

I couldn't remember anything that happened, until I faced Greenwoods men. The Sentinels and the Beta in the border.

It was not until later that I could begin to see flash images in my head, of how my claws had brushed her throat.

Yes, she was a woman. My attacker was a woman. And sadly, that's all the information I know about my pack's killers.

That night, changes my entire life. My story. My wolf eyes changes from the bright yellow color of an innocent Omega,  to a searing 'blue'!

My claws had tasted blood.

***************

Back to present:

A knock on the door, interrupts my thoughts, bringing me back to reality.

"Yes. You may come in". I reply calmly, clearing my throat.

The Beta enters. He stands there as if transfix, staring straight at me, his eyes widen in admiration, perhaps.

"Do I have something on my face?" I ask, tilting my head a little to a side.

"No. You don't, my lady."

We both burst into a knowing laughter. I had been in that position few moments ago. His laughter is light and deep. And his eyes twinkles.

"The Alpha's waiting. He hates waiting." The Beta says clearing his throat.

"That condescending jerk!, I wish I could make him wait for eternity!!" I thought tightening my fists to my dress, trying hard to maintain the calm look.

But instead, I ask:

"Shall we go then?"

"Of course," he replies. "This way please".

We walk down a hallway approximately 40 feet, with subtle incline leading to the Alpha's office.

The corridor is wide enough for more than two people to walk, with sleek dark wood paneling lining the wall which is decorated with ancient artifacts and pack symbols intricately carved on the wooden plaques. Soft warm light emanates from recessed fixtures, creating a golden glow illumination.

The entire building seems so busy. Using my wolf hearing, I could hear sounds of footsteps muffled by the plush carpets. Footsteps and footfalls leading towards different parts of the building, rustling papers, along with faint voices giving out orders.

Suddenly, we stop right in front of a very huge door, sturdy, with a sliver-plated handle, shaped like a wolf's head.

A small elegant plaque, bearing the word, 'The Alpha'. Both side of the door is mann by two men, probably the pack's Gammas.

The Alpha's office!

"Here we are!" He declares.

I nod, unimpress.

"You haven't told me your name yet?" I say, facing him, the Beta.

"Hmmm...."

He look lost for a second. I wonder if he is thinking, if it's okay to let me know his name.

"I told you mine," I say hurriedly, as if trying to help him make up his mind. And in a way, guilt tripping him into telling me his.

Funny.

"Darren," he says. Moving to knock on the door.

"That's a beautiful name". I compliment, smiling at him. His look, tells me he doesn't hear that often.

"When you are done with the introduction,  you come in

here, Omega!"

A sharp voice interrupts. That too, in a rude way.

It can only be that Self-absorbed Alpha! I fume in silent anger.
