“You don't look so good,” Dawson commented with a massive frown on his face. Although he was talking to Ophelia, he never looked at her.

Ohpelia clicked her tongue in distaste. She glared daggers at him. Even though he felt her glares, he still didn't spare a glance and sunk his teeth into the steak on his fork.

“Why is Esme not here, Dad?” she asked as if she didn't know that Esme was no longer within the pack premises. She wanted to k owing if her family knew about it where she had gone and, most especially, the people who took her.

“She ran away,” Dane replied, pausing to look at her briefly before he looked back at the place in front of him. “Eat your food and don't worry about her. She will come back once she gets some sense,” he even waved his hand dismissively as if it didn't matter.

“You seem quite certain. Why so?” Ophelia asked. She pulled and picked the plate in front of her and began putting food on it. “The man she went to doesn't seem like just anybody. I saw him,”

  • The Lycan's Possession    It will grow stronger

Don't you ever say I just walked awayI will always want youI can't live a lie, running for my lifeI will always want you~Wrecking Ball — Miley Cyrus~============He could see her struggle in her eyes. Maintaining eye contact alone was already troublesome for her as it was. He couldn't fathom how hard it must be for her to say what was in her heart. Her lips quivered, and the solution she thought of to stop the trembling was to bite them, hold them between her teeth. But that pricked his heart. He wanted to stop her. To tell her she didn't have to force herself to speak, but then that would deprive her of the chance to speak. She was trying, and she had to be patient. That was what he did. He waited, even sitting beside silently. Silently encouraging her.“I…I don't want to go back to my pack. I want to stay here. I… want to accept the…the bond… that we have now. C…can you help me?” She stuttered through every word. Her voice trembled, lips quivering and nearly biting on her to

  • The Lycan's Possession    What If....?

Inside the library, Esme was alone, focused on a book when the door creaked open, drawing her attention to it. Lifting her head, she saw Alicia returning with cookies and tea on a tray in her hands. She looked unusually happy about something, and that had her curious as well.“Did something happen, Alicia?” Esme asked as soon Alicia was close enough.Alicia gave an award winning smile and nodded vigorously. “You won't believe what I heard just now,” she said, pulling a chair to sit. Esme raised an eyebrow, and she chuckled. “Ophelia had an accident and almost died. She was on her way to the palace. I'm sure she had ulterior motives for coming. That has to be why she was so unlucky.” Esme frowned. Wasn't the meeting with Grant meant to be only with the alpha and beta of each pack? Then why did Ophelia come along with them? Perhaps it's because the pack was destroyed…? Esme thought to herself.“Not only that, my lady,” Alicia continued, her smile widening. “Dawson was also here in

  • The Lycan's Possession    A nameless stranger

A heavy silence fell after his question. His gaze moved from one person to another, lingering just long enough to make them uncomfortable. The tension in the room thickened, and no one dared to meet his eyes.“Cat got your tongue?” Grant’s voice cut through the silence—cold and commanding, his presence almost suffocating.“Your Majesty,” one of the generals finally rose and gave a respectful bow. “The fault is mine. I shouldn’t have brought up the matter of your mate in such a setting. Please accept my sincere apology.”Grant studied him for a moment, then allowed a small, private smirk. At least one man had some courage. A bit of fire, he thought. “General Beckham, isn’t it?”“Yes, Your Majesty.”“You may have erred, but your point stands. This assembly wasn’t called to discuss my mate. Still, I recognize that it’s an important topic—one that could have been saved for a more appropriate time.”“My apologies, Your Majesty,” Beckham replied, lowering his gaze.“It appears you're the on

  • The Lycan's Possession    Why so quiet now?

Meanwhile, inside the council chamber, tension hung thick in the air—growing steadily, refusing to ease. The silence was suffocating, heavy like a boulder pressing down on everyone in the room. Each alpha sat at the long, rectangular table, their betas positioned beside them. All except Alpha Dane, whose beta was notably absent. And then there was the Alpha King’s seat—empty, with only his royal beta present in his place.Several other seats were filled by council members personally chosen by the king or by former pack alphas who still lived and now served as his advisors. The remaining chairs were occupied by Lyrria’s army generals. All eyes scanned the room, glancing at one another in silent anticipation. They waited—for someone to speak for someone to break the ice. But no one did. Instead, their gazes slowly shifted to Leonardo. As the king’s righ

  • The Lycan's Possession    Whose mate?

He moved swiftly through the halls, his footsteps light as he tracked the lingering scent Dawson had left behind, taking care not to draw any attention. But then, unexpectedly, his slumbering beast stirred.Grimes came to a sudden stop, a furrow forming between his brows as his senses sharpened. He peered ahead but saw no one—yet there was a presence. Heavy. Unseen, but unmistakably close.Who could they be? Grimes questioned inwardly. He’d passed plenty of shifters on his way—both werewolves and lycans—but his beast hadn’t reacted to any of them, as if they were insignificant. It had remained asleep… until now.Can you sense who it is? he asked the beast within, but there was only silence. Seconds ticked by. His frown deepened. “Are you going to answer me or not?” he muttered irritably.A low, warning growl was his only response.Exhaling, he steeled himself. Whoever lay ahead, he would meet them soon enough.‘Do not provoke them,’ came a gravelly voice.Grimes almost stumbled. The vo

  • The Lycan's Possession    A new lycan...?

Failing to sense the impending danger that loomed over him, Dawson shrugged the pain and glared at the bodyguard. Then he looked up at Grant, his gaze cold and defiant.“My mate. I have come to take her back. You had no right to take her away just because she is a Hawthorne,” He said with so much confidence that if Grant did not know any better, he would have doubted himself if he was truly Esme's fated mate.He found it laughable that Dawson was so bold as to claim Esme as his mate. But Grant may have thought it laughable. The same couldn't be said for his beast, who was raging inside him. Wanting to tear Dawson to pieces for claiming their mate as his own. He let out a guttural growl that instantly petrified everyone who heard it, including Dawson himself. The guards who heard Dawson's claim looked at him in pity. Was he a fool, or was he not afraid of death?Of all the lines he could have said, of all the lies he could have told, why was it a claim on the alpha's mate? The king's m
