Marly POV

“Wait! I need to speak!” I said as I rushed forward into the room. “Marly, please,” Carson started to say when I cut him off. “No Carson, they cannot convict you. This man almost destroyed our lives,” I said, as the judges started to get annoyed. “Please Luna, let us speak,” the female judge interjected, when I cut her off as well.

“I cannot just let this go. As princess I demand that you reconsider your decision,” I said, as the King finally stepped in, “Marly, that is enough!” he stated, as I looked at him in shock. Before I could speak, “As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted,” the lead judge stated as he glared at me, “We do not find you guilty, Alpha. You protected yourself in self-defence, and this matter is concluded,” the judge said as he glared at me once again.

I felt a whoosh of air leave my lungs, as I slumped over putting my hands on my knees. The female judge came over and put her hand softly on my shoulder.

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 131 - Appeal

Marly POV It took Carson a couple more day’s recovery before he could leave the hospital. His healing was going well but he definitely would have met the Moon Goddess sooner than later, if I had not been able to heal him. It scared me to think of what could have happened, had the Moon Goddess not been generous enough to allow me to keep those talents. I was still perplexed at her choice but would ensure she never regretted giving me those talents back. I would use them to serve our people in whatever way was deemed necessary. I knew I would only get stronger and that is what I had to focus on. Learning and enhancing my skills. We were sitting in the court proceedings once more listening to the appeal being submitted on behalf of the King’s brother. Everyone was there, tensely listening to words being cast about. At times there were gasps of shock and frustration at the outright lying taking place by the uncle. The King remained sto

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 129 - Antidote

Marly POV “Absolutely not. There has to be another option. Can’t you step in?” I demand of the King. “I will do my best. We will be present to assure it was a clean kill,” the King responded. “It is not good enough to do your best. I have never asked you for anything. I am asking now,” I replied with tears in my eyes. “Nothing will happen to Carson,” Alex promised, standing tall beside our father. I looked to him, relief in my eyes. Nodding, “Okay,” I replied, stepping back closer to Carson. “I cannot lose you,” I said to him for what felt like the millionth time. “You will not lose me,” Carson vowed. Breathing easier I took a seat in Carson’s arms. Everyone stood around talking about strategies for dealing with the hearing, when the doctor came rushing in. We all looked at him in surprise. “I am sorry to barge in, my King, but we have learned something disturbing,” he advised us. “What is it?” the King inquired. “It seems

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 128 - Consequences

Carson POV I lay there with Marly in my arms. My eyes had closed, but I was very aware she was close to me. I felt stronger than I had felt in some time. The pain of the poison coursing through my body had been brutal and I was breathing easier at the relief. I had no idea what the poison was. It was stronger than wolfsbane, and worse than being cuffed with silver. I felt the sparks between Marly and me, which was giving me comfort and assuring me she was mine. I could not believe all that we had been through. All that we had overcame. The bastard who had tried to steal Marly from me was dead. I was grateful that he had died from my hands. I slowly opened my eyes as I heard the door to my room open. I saw the doctor enter and look at me in shock, “How is this possible?” he murmured as he stepped closer to me. “I do not know, but I am very grateful to still be here,” I replied softly. I did not want to wake Marly, so I encouraged the docto

Marly POV I raced towards the hospital arriving as they brought Carson in. I could see sweat on his face, as his body fought the poison. I knew Kane would be trying to get rid of the poison, but it would depend on how strong it was as to how long Kane would be able to fight it himself. I stepped forward, taking Carson’s hand, holding on tightly as he was rushed through the hospital corridors. “Miss, you will need to wait outside,” the nurse told me. “No, I am staying with him. He is my mate,” I replied firmly. The nurse frowned, before saying, “Stay out of the way.”. I knew what to I needed to do. I wanted to be there, to hear what they were saying. To know of the concerns they had. We entered the room where there was already a team of doctors waiting. They quickly placed Carson on a table, starting to get him hooked up to machines and checking his vitals. I knew he was not marked by me yet, but I could feel his pain and wondered how he

  • The Lycan's Powerful Omega   Chapter 126 - Fight

Carson POV It destroyed me that Marly still had to worry about this bastard being free. I knew I needed to be part of the team that found him. And I would destroy him myself, rather than give him the chance at an appeal. “They are tracking him towards the north border. We have to stop him before he reaches or he will be in no man’s land,” Alex said. We raced towards the area he is being tracked in our wolves, not stopping knowing time was of the essence. As we got closer, there were howls of excitement from the warriors chasing their prey. It caused Kane to speed up, “We will get him, Carson; he needs to be destroyed,” he said to me, panting from exertion. “We will, Kane, we will,” I assured him. I knew the man claiming to be Marly’s mate would not be able to shift. He would still have silver cuffs on him and had received a dose of wolfsbane before the trial. I would fight him in my human form. “We will fight him however we need to, Carson.
