Marly POV

My heart raced as I waited to see what Carson’s reaction would be. I was an amateur at hacking, but I had quickly found the discrepancy in the code. What perplexed me was how Carson’s IT team had missed it. Or had they ignored it? I had no idea, but I was anxiously waiting for his reply.

“How?” he asked tersely. I looked up at him, as he continued to monitor the screen. “Do you see these letters here?” I asked as I pointed to a particular section. Nodding, “Yes,” he confirmed. “That was built inside the system. If someone were to hack your system, I would see their fingerprints, if you will, in the code,” I summarized.

“What happens if you delete it?” he asked. I held my breath for a moment, before slowly releasing it. “It will take us back to whoever’s computer created it,” I stated. “Will you be able to find out who is hacking our system?” he asked. I looked at him, “If someone is in fact hacking it,

Everyone paused, and the doctor looked at me in shock. “How did you know?” he asked, as everyone took a step back and checked the machines. “Just a good guess,” I replied, as I heard Carson’s father quiet down, “What is happening?” he asked. “She is back,” the doctor stated, wiping his brow. Carson released his father, so that he could step towards his mate.
