Marly POV

I sat there listening to Alex go over everything with everyone. I could not help but feel sadness for him. Sadness that everyone was questioning his integrity. Questioning just how much he was going to do to help the Rogue King get what he has wanted all along. But I knew the truth. I knew Alex was good, and he would die trying to help get Carson’s mother back.

But I could not let that happen. I would be going when they went to rescue Carson’s mother. I knew Carson would disagree, but I had already made my mind up. I would have to be there to help save anybody who was injured. I was getting stronger with my talents, and I knew I would be able to help faster being there.

All the planning was done, and it was agreed we would leave after dark tonight. Carson had already identified his team of warriors and those who would go tonight. Of course, he did not include me. As everyone left the conferenc
