Chapter 11

Xena Remington

I kept fidgeting with my fingers as I sat on the couch, waiting for Axel to come down. I couldn’t get the flashes of everything that happened yesterday out of my head. I don’t know what was going on but ‘it was intense’.

I had come to Axel’s penthouse again to bandage him up and I feel like I’ll have to keep doing this every morning for a week at least. Thank god, I broke up with Jerold before this happened because I have no idea how I would have explained why Axel’s driver is picking me up first thing in the morning and taking me to his house and not the office.

I continued looking around like a lost puppy as I waited downstairs for Axel and kept wondering if I am going to change his bandages in the living room?

“Oh Ms. Remington, you are here. You can go upstairs. His room is the first one on the left, you can’t miss it.” Mrs. Costanza says as she appears out of nowhere, making me quickly stand up on my feet to greet her.
