Chapter 2

Ayiesha POV

MY EYES CAN’T be fixed in one place. I can’t understand myself.

“Are you okay?” he asked me. He noticed that I was anxious. I just smile at him. So he doesn’t worry about me.

“Yes, I’m okay. Don’t worry about me. Love, I will be in the restroom.” I said to him, He just nodded.

I got up and went to the restroom. I just want to be alone. I don’t want Terrence to notice my anxiety.

I immediately went into the restroom and entered a cubicle. When I finished, I immediately went out and washed my hands in the sink. I look at myself. I don’t have my make-up anymore. So I retouched first. While I was retouching, someone stood beside me.

“Long time no see. Ayiesha!” I turned to the woman. She smiles at me. I did not immediately recognize it. But eventually, I recognized her.

“Adelaine,” I whispered to her name. I was immediately nervous. She is an ex of Terrence. Adelaine De Villa. I know how to play this girl. She likes to play dirty.

“I think you were surprised,” she said to me with a smile, as if she had done nothing before. But why can't I control my nervousness? When I recovered from the shock, I smiled at her.

“Yes, I was just surprised. I’m sorry. I just saw you again. After a year,” I told her. I continued to retouch, even though I knew she was my rival to my beloved husband, Terrence Jude Alvarez.

“I’m busy. You know I’m a model. I also travel around the world.” She smiles at me. Obviously, the smile she gives me is a fake.

“Good for you!” I smile at her. “I’ll better go. Terrence is waiting for me.” I said goodbye to her.

“Right, and maybe someone will take him away from you.” I was stunned by what she said. But, I didn’t make her satisfied. I turned to her and smiled. “You know what? I don’t know what your problem is and why you said that,” I whispered to her. Even if I want to slap her.

“Oh nothing, dear. I’m just practical here. Terrence is handsome and charming. He is a good catch.” She smiled at me.

The smile on my lips disappeared. “Stop this nonsense, Adelaine. Just move on!” I’m serious about it.

She looked at me. “I’ve been moving on for a long time, and I’m not even after your husband,” she told me seriously.

“Good for you!” I said to her with a smile on my face, and I turned my back on her.

I won’t let you take Terrence away from me, Adelaine. You better to fuck off. I returned to our table indignantly. My head grew even hotter as someone sat in my chair next to Terrence.

“Excuse me.” The woman looked up and smiled at me.

“Yes,” she replied. I just give her a serious face.

“That is my sit,” I said to the woman sitting now.

“But I’m the one who sits here now.” This bitch is a brat.

“Are you crazy? The person who sat in that chair first was me. I was just in the restroom, and now you’re already sitting in it!” I shout at her. My voice grew louder as the men at our table turned to us. “Are you that desperate, and you sit in my chair, next to my husband?” I shout again.

She stood up. “Why? Does the chair have your name? This chair isn’t yours,” she said.

“Even if there is no name or there is, it’s still my chair,” I said here.

I just stopped when the Emcee spoke. “Ladies and Gentlemen, please welcome, Lady Adelaine De villa.”

I was surprised, because Adelaine turned out to be the host of this party. That’s why Terrence was invited. Is that what she said that she moved on? I looked at Adelaine, where she was standing. She smiled in front of a crowd. Very different from the Adelaine I had seen before.

If Adelaine is here, I’m sure Leigh is here too. So I immediately roamed my eyes around the function hall. But, I failed. Leigh isn’t here.

“Enough of this Ayiesha!” Terrence whispered to me. I turned to him and looked at him. I lost my attention to what I was looking for. So he guts my full attention.

“Enough of your face, and you want it,” I said to him. I walked out of the venue. Where the party is hosted by the ex of my husband, that can’t still move on.

“Ayiesha!” he called me, but I didn’t stop walking. I continued walking until he reached me in the parking lot.

“Ayiesha, wait!” He called me again. I just continued walking. When he caught me, I just looked at him.

“Why? Why are you following me? You’re supposed to be inside. Your ex is still there, your woman is still there.” I wrapped my arm around my chest.

I want to cry. Because I know, whether I like it or not, Adelaine is part of his life. I am still insecure about his ex. No matter what I do, Adelaine still has a place in his heart.

He grabbed both of my arms and caressed them. He pulled me closer to him and hugged me. “My God, Ayiesha. Do you hear what you said?” he asked. His forehead furrowed, which made him even more handsome.

“I don’t want us to go to that party. I know there are a lot of people around you. Your ex is still there and can’t move on with you!” I whisper.

I couldn’t help myself. I just cried. I will never forget what happened to me then.

He massage the bridge of his nose. “Stop, this nonsense. Ayiesha. Stop being childish. I’m yours okay. No one can’t replace you. No one can snatch me from you,” he whispered. He grabbed my hand and touched my face.

“Even, Adelaine. She can’t replace you. I love you, okay? It’s just you,” he whispered to me, before he hugged me tight.

I hugged him back and cried on his chest. “I’m scared, Terrence. I don’t want to repeat that again. I don’t want to repeat the past. I can’t handle it.” I stared at him with tears in my eyes. One by one, tears flowed into my eyes. “I’m afraid that one day you’ll just disappear and leave me,” I cried. “I don’t want that to happen,” I said, shaking my head. “I might die, Love!” He hugged me tightly.

“No, that will not happen.” He pulled me away from him, from his embrace. “No one can take me away from you. You know that. I love you. Just you, Yiesh,” he told me. He hugged me again.

“I’m so afraid, love! Especially since Adelaine is here. She might snatch you from me. That is something I don't want to happen. I’ll die Terrence, if I lose you. I’ll die. Please, don’t leave me. “I was crying pleading with him. I looked at him.

“Love, listen to me.” He touched my cheek and caressed it. “Adelaine is nothing. I know her. She’s not capable of doing it. She’s a good woman. Adelaine can’t do what you’re thinking.” He explained it to me.

“But…”

“You better go home. I'll follow you.” He cut off what I said.

“But…”

“Go home, Ayiesha. Don’t worry. I’ll be there within a minute. And please, don’t wear anything tonight. I’ll make love to you later, when I am home,” he whispered to me. All I could answer is a nod.

Because of what he said, I was getting hot. I couldn’t stand it. I kissed him, and he immediately reciprocated. He pulled me away from him. His eyes were closed. I know he needs to reigh himself.

“Stop it, I might forget the party. Go, I’ll be home later.” I turned my back on him and got in the car. When I was in the car. I suddenly felt drowsy.

“Just wake me up. When we’re home,” I said to our driver.

I can’t wait for our driver’s answer, because I’m really sleepy. Until I fell asleep.

Adelaine POV

SMILE, cause my plan is SUCCESS today. Because everything went according to my plan. This is really my success. And Terrence will be mine soon.

“Good job, Earl,” I said to him with a smile.

I looked at the woman soundly sleeping in a bed. Poor Ayiesha. I can blame her for what she didn’t do.

“What is the next Adelaine?” he asked me.

“Wait until morning. I am sure Terrence will look for her.” I smiled. This woman is the one that he replaced with. I am more beautiful and have an appeal than this woman.

“Take off her dress,” I ordered him.

“You take care of her. And I still have a party to attend and my Terrence is waiting for me!” I smile at him. He just sigh.
