Chapter 56

I tapped my knuckles on the door before turning the knob. I peeped in. Duante was sitting behind the table. His tee was clinging to his abs, chest perfectly. He was sitting like a king, leaning forward, his elbows resting on his knees. Some of his friends were standing or some were sitting on the chair. All heads turned to me.

I pulled my eyes from him as I took a step forward. "I need a phone." I asked, looking around the room. I never walked in when he was busy with them. I always gave them privacy.

His gaze landed on me with a frown. " Why?" A look of boredom played on his features.

"I wanna talk to Tom." I said, waiting for him to look at me.

"Go. Rest in your room." He waved his hand in the air dismissing me. He was doing nothing but infuriating me these days.

"Excuse me." I irked.

A deep v formed between his eyes as he glanced at me. "You heard me, Eveleen."

Tears gathered in my eyes hearing him say my name in anger
