The reality wherein they believed the fault was on the poor doctor shattered in just a snap. Primo flinched, absolutely couldn't believe what he just heard. Or is this woman just trying to feed them lies to postpone the punishment?

“Come again?” Primo asked, staring intently at the doctor who took a huge gulp as she received those gazes. Everyone looked at her. While some had the look of disbelief, others just smirked on it, thinking the same way as Primo does–this woman is just playing some tricks, and they are not buying it.

“I didn’t have a failure surgery operation ever since I started my career–not to brag. My patient–or your father is alive and is now getting rest. Although, heart rupture could be fatal, we still managed to complete and succeed on the surgery–however, that should not be the reason to state the patient as ‘dead’ prematurely.” Georgia answered, confidently. The tone in her voice is hopeful yet at the same time neutral. Perhaps, it was about how she knew what actually happened that lessened her fear to talk.

But this time, she knew her place. She knew better than anyone in this room. She knew, because she’s a doctor and she was there.

However, her words didn't seem to convince them to believe in her. Rather, she just unintentionally implanted doubt in them when she mentioned the condition of her patient.

“Heart rupture?” Manuel asked with brows in one line. Georgia nodded at him confidently.

“How many patients did you operate today?” Primo asked with eyes squinted into slits as if he was connecting the dots in his mind. Although, confused by the sudden unrelated question, Georgia still answered him honestly.

“Heart rupture was my third. The first two were brain tumor and kidney transplant–they are all alive and recovering.” Georgia answered with her chin up. She had to let them know that she’s confident and is saying the truth. Ever since 1 in the morning, Georgia had already been working. She technically has seven patients that needed her operation today! Yet these people had the balls to intervene.

“Hmm… interesting” in just a second, the bothered look of Primo cleared as a smirk formed in his face. He hates to admit it, but this woman seemed to be saying the truth. There's no indication of any trickery in her voice–just as his first impression, this doctor is just an innocent sheep.

“Did we have the wrong person, Boss?” Manuel asked when everything that he knew tangled. He is as clueless as the rest of the men here, other than the boss who looked like he has something in mind.

“I fear we did, Manuel.” Primo said with the same smile as he stretched his back and stood tall. Contrary to his words, Primo looked thrilled. “For now, bring this doctor to a spare room.” He commanded and was about to take a step to leave when Georgia blocked his way.

“W-Why is that? You already confirmed you’re wrong about me, shouldn't you let me go already?” that took enough guts for the woman to stand for herself. Whatever comes after her utterance, she just need to make sure about her departure from this place!

Her patients need her!

Primo looked down on her, while Manuel was about to drag her because of her disrespectful approach to him. As he met her eyes, a grin showed up once again in his face. For the second time, Primo grabbed her chin and stared at her eyes. He carefully observed those two irises, until he was prompted to give attention to her pointy nose and… to those pink and plump lips…

That looked sweet and alluring.

“I have a fiance, Boss.” Georgia remarked without second thoughts, which surprisingly cracked him up, especially when she called him the same way his men does.

“Yet you let me touch you twice–how much more if I’d touch your lips with mine? I bet you would let me still–” Primo didn't manage to finish his words when Georgia scrappily brushed her head to get away from his touch. She basically felt insulted, and it’s making her goddamn mad.

What does he take her for?! A whore?!

“No, you have done enough worst things to me. Not only did you accuse me for a crime I didn't do, but also kidnapped me while I was on my goddamn workhours. Now, if you'd excuse me, I still have four patients that need me today.” Georgia regarded coldly as her eyes emitted fiery as she stared directly into his mysterious eyes. She wouldn't just let anyone step on her feminity–and this Primo guy triggered that.

“I will let you off the hook. I will let everything slide that happened today–just bring me back to the hospital.” She demanded, but again, Primo didn't take her words seriously and just laughed it off.

“Easier said than done, Mi amore.” He remarked teasingly and finally walked past through her only to stop in a few steps. “The fact that you knew me and saw everything in here… indicates only one thing that coincides with our family's law.” Primo turned his head to one side as he looked at her through peripherals.

“Welcome to Casa Bonsignore Family as a prisoner, Mi amore.” That was the last thing he left before finally pacing his way out of the room. Meanwhile, Georgia was stunned and shatterning at what she heard.

Her body weakened as her hope to get out diminished. Her pink sultry lips dried while her porcelain skin turned pale. There's nothing else she could do now. She will be… as per Primo, prisoned in this place.

“No…” Georgia uttered hopelessly as her eyes started to wet with tears. As though the world crashed before her eyes, her body lost the strength and met the cold floor. She couldn't help herself but to sob like a child. However, what she didn't know is she doesn't have freedom in this place–even a freedom to cry.

“Please! Let me go! I didn't do anything wrong! Please…”

As she cried her eyes out, two men suddenly lifted her shoulders to drag her out of this scary place. Her cries and pleas ended up in vain. She thought she could still get away… but… but Primo, that monster!

Will her life really just end up in this hellish place? What about her patients… those sick people who are in need of her? What about her fiance? Her wedding with Lawrence? What about her dreams to have a loving family? Will those just crash in a blink of an eye?

The strength in her body was just dispelled out of mental and emotional exhaustion. She just retrieved her consciousness when she heard knocks on the door. Following that is the feeling of comfort that carried the weight of her body. Slowly, she opened her eyes–and she couldn't believe what she’s seeing.

“Huh?” what she saw before her is something that she is not expecting. “A chandelier?” Gradually, she lifted her body in hopes to get familiar with this place. Unfortunately, she is not. But she knew prior to being in this hotel-like room that she was being dragged out of the room with many weapons!

She must've just fooled herself. Perhaps, she’s still in a dream. Georgia snickered at how foolishly she thought she is and rubbed her eyes to see the reality.

“What?!” to her surprise, this is no dream, but indeed the reality! She even slapped her cheeks just to get her out in this dreamy room. But no!

As she was trying to recover from the utter surprise, the knock on the door started to get louder, diverting her attention. Although reluctant, Georgia still went to that door and opened it… as slowly as she could. And her eyeballs almost got out of the socket of her eyes when the person that she currently despised and feared the most was the same one who was knocking the door.

“Good evening, Mi amore~ Dinner is ready.”

It’s no other than the Primo Bonsignore! Worse, he’s grinning at her! What the hell? She thought she’s getting imprisoned, but why does it look so luxurious here?!

The police dazed at him at the remarks that sounded hilarious. The police had to fake a laugh, thinking that Primo was joking. That laugh, however, only lasted a few seconds when Primo didn’t laugh with him. Staring at him with his surprised face, the police ended up gaping his mouth open, expecting him to elaborate his remarks.“Wait… did you actually mean it, Sir?” The police stuttered in Primo’s presence who’s inches taller than him. He stared at Prio cluelessly, feeling as though his job was mocked and degraded by this man. Although he felt somehow insulted, he still couldn’t seem to bring himself to open his mouth and talk back to him. This man just has a different aura that he cannot figure out, but could completely feel it.The police tried to look at Primo in the eyes, only to be the first one to break off the gaze because of something unidentifiable emitting from his eyes–something that’s not ordinary. Though he cannot name it, the police just ended up listening to his instin

The next day, they were shocked with another news again–well, particularly, Primo who couldn’t believe what happened. Just like last night, he received a call from Samuel about the incident that happened in his company. Today, another incident happened. It was the news that they woke up to early in the morning that Primo had to leave earlier than he used to. “What is it again?” Primo asked Samuel with his stern face meeting the gazes of the shocked and scared employees. Instead of answering him, Samuel just directly led him to the scene, where a lot of morning employees gathering around instantly greeted him to which he didn’t give a damn to pay his attention.Noticing his presence, the gathering employees then made their way to let him see. Contrary to last night where he met the deceased at the hospital, this time, the corpse was still found lying on the cold floor with the eyes wide open and soaked in his own pool of blood. Primo’s eyes narrowed at the sight. He stared at the bloo

As Manuel was about to stop by the company, Primo suddenly commanded him to go straight to the hospital where the person who died at his company was instantly brought to—which is the same as to where Lily is now. They were then greeted with his employees who were primary witnesses of his death. Georgia and Primo instantly separated ways when Georgia heard someone sobbing behind the curtain of one of the beds. Slowly, she walked to that and eventually found her guts to sway it open, just to see Lily holding on to her unconscious uncle."Lily..." Georgia gasped upon seeing the situation as her eyes slightly widened at the unconscious old man. Hearing her voice, Lily bent upward to meet her worried face, while Georgia saw hers coated with tears. She immediately opened her arm wide open to embrace her.She had never seen this vulnerable side of this woman. She knew her as lively and easy-going. But to see her this so emotional, it feels like Georgia has found her younger sibling that nev

For her long dead father, Georgia didn’t expect any of these. Her late father who was already resting in paradise… Her father who has long been dead. How can such two connections collide in the present? How can her late father’s name be brought up in this present time? Georgia’s mind was already a wreck. Though, there was no definite proof to conclude the involvement of her father. The fact that the name of the supposedly resting soul is now brought up from the grave just bothers her.In the end, Georgia breathed in sharply, and affirmed herself. “I hope it’s nothing serious.” She whispered through her teeth as her eyes gazed at the landscape of the night view through the glass wall.“Right. Another thing, Mi Amore,” Primo’s voice budged her from staring blankly at the breathtaking view. She turned her head to his direction, only to see him walking toward her with another paper in his hand. “This is what I told you about.” Primo then handed her the papers that contained the activities

Herald stared at Emilio with his deep eyes. By the looks of this man, it seemed as though he was anticipating his presence. It looked like he knew he was coming here. Herald looked at him sitting on his lovely chair with his legs crossed. And it felt weird for some reason, because another person snapped his mind who also did the same thing–except that person had the smile to welcome him, not this mischievous smile.“How bold of you to think that way.” Sarcastically, Herald responded. Well, Emilio indeed had been trying to invite him back to the company. Even though Emilio made it sound kind and considerate, Herald doesn’t just fall for it. He already had the taste of what it was like working here–he doesn’t want to experience the same shit again. “I just want to visit an old acquaintance, what do you think?” Herald and then, lifting one end of his lips. Then, his eyes averted to the interior of his office that changed a lot since he was here. It just looked like the old building of F

“Herald Juancho, he was once one of the Freegal ten years ago. He was the manager of the financial team. According to what we found out, he was close to the unnamed CEO back then.” Primo stated as his eyes occasionally glanced at the warm paper that just released out of the printer. The moment Georgia asked him about the old man, he immediately clicked on Manuel to find out as much information about him as possible. He didn’t know about these things when he first met him back then. Primo only knew the surface level such as to when he first met him such as being associated with Emilio.“There wasn’t much information about him in the past, but there’s a current one that would surely surprise you–or not. Herald knows Emilio Granger. He knows him more than anyone else.” He added. Primo didn’t exactly know how deeply the old man knew the Freegal’s chairman, but his encounter with him in the past had already said so.After all, it was Herald who signalled Freegal–despite him already quittin
