MasukCeline's POV
I pulled at Dave's arm to stop him, but he was just too stubborn. He had insisted on walking me right to the classroom. I looked frantically around as a few students glanced in our direction, murmuring as they walked past. When we got to the classroom, he let go of my hand and turned to me. "Faye will be waiting for you. Don't go anywhere else," he said. I wanted to refuse, but I nodded. The lecturer was coming in now. I pulled away from him and hurried into class. I found Tyra and quickly sat beside her, my gaze shifting to the door, Dave was still standing there. I noticed the attention he was getting without even making an effort, and a jealous frown crept onto my face. Then I decided to do something, to show that he was already mine. I looked in his direction and blew a hard, loud kiss at him before giving a flirtatious wink. That caught everyone's attention and they all turned to me; some immediately wore an upset expression while others became jealous. "Girl, you're crazy," Tyra whispered beside me. I shrugged. Dave turned away and left afterward, and I looked ahead to the class already in progress. — After class was over, a few students quickly turned to me, their eyes filled with excitement. "Who is that? A new boyfriend?" they asked. I smiled smugly. "Hmm..." I teased. "He's just her uncle," Stephen, who was sitting in front of Tyra and me, responded, his eyes focused on his phone. I shot a glare at him instantly. He slowly lifted his gaze from the screen and looked at me, afraid, not sure what wrong he had done. The girls' faces lit up at his words. They grinned hard, a few of them already playing out scenarios in their heads. "What's your uncle's name?" "Do you think you can introduce me to him?" "Wanna be friends?" one of them grabbed my hand in a hurry. I pulled away from her and got up. "No way. He's mine!" I blurted at them and walked out of there. Tyra followed immediately after me, and Stephen trailed behind us, his head hung down in guilt. "You're just so dumb sometimes," she snapped at him. I clutched the handle of my purse and continued walking until we were out of the area. Tyra grabbed my arm to stop me and reminded me that we had another class soon. "I'm too angry to attend a class now," I said, turning to walk away. Faye appeared in front of me like a ghost; I had almost forgotten about her. "You have to attend all your classes and go straight home," she blurted. Tyra and Stephen were startled by her sudden appearance; even I was a little jolted. I clenched my hands, forcing a smile onto my face. "In return, I will help you get the Boss." My eyes lit up wide at her offer. "Are you really serious?" She nodded. I grabbed her hands, too excited, and nodded quickly. "You want her help instead of mine? Who the hell is she anyway?" Tyra asked, pointing to Faye, a jealous frown on her face. I pulled her aside and whispered to her. The second I told her about Faye's identity, she froze instantly. Then she slowly turned back to Faye. "Forget I said anything." Faye smiled; she didn't seem like someone in the Mafia. "You don't have to be afraid of me. We can be friends," she said. All three of us stared at her, not believing her words. *She was a spy sent by Dave to monitor my movements; I can't just trust her easily.* "You don't seem to believe me," she pointed out. We all nodded quickly. "Fine. How do I prove it to you?" she asked. Both Tyra and I shared a look. A smug grin slowly lifted the corners of our lips. "How about you sneak off with us to a party?" we both said. There was silence for a moment. I smirked, knowing full well that she wouldn't. But then Faye nodded, and our eyes widened hard in shock. "Seriously?" Stephen, who had been silent, asked, astounded. Faye wore a smug smile; she pulled down the hairclip holding her hair and it fell onto her shoulders. "How about we go shopping first?" she said. "These clothes aren't good enough for the club." I chuckled, still not believing it, but I agreed quickly. Tyra quickly grabbed Stephen's car key from his hand before he could protest, and all three of us hurried to the car. Dave's POV I received a message from Faye. She had successfully won Celine's heart. That brought some relief to my heart; with Faye by her side, I wouldn't have to worry much. I turned to Jeff. "What did you find out?" "It's not Joseph Castillo." My face contorted into a hard frown. I tightened my jaw. "Then who is it?" "Henry," he blurted. For a moment, I was stunned. *Henry? For six years now, I thought he was dead. I've searched for him for years and couldn't find him.* Jeff took a step forward, looking worried. "Boss, if Miss Celine finds out..." I cut him off with a snap. "Shut up." My fists clenched. I sank back into the chair and shut my eyes briefly, taking a deep breath. If Henry was really alive, then where on earth has he been all these years? This doesn't feel right. Henry could have just shown up rather than stalk Celine with a boy. "Find him," I ordered. Jeff didn't wait. I rubbed my temple slowly and tried to calm down. My phone alerted me to Celine's location, one of the places she was forbidden to go to. My frown came back almost immediately. "Devil's Hut? what the fuck are they doing there?" I clenched the phone. I really shouldn't have trusted her, she never listens. I snatched my coat and grabbed a car key.Celine's POVFaye grabbed my glass and glared at me."Boss will kill me if you go back home drunk," she said.I scoffed, and pushed her hand off."Don't be uncool now," I took a mouthful of the drink. It's sweet, yet intoxicating. Just like how Dave's lips tasted.I wanted to drink more, but Faye stopped me again."You can have fun without getting drunk," she said.I sighed and tried to grab the drink away, but she beat me to it and drank it down.A little chuckle left my lips. I rested my hand on the table and my face on my palm."You know, I didn't like you at first," I blurted. "I thought you'd be another Sabrina.""That bitch," I cussed, heat rising on my face in hate as I thought of her.Faye poured herself another drink. "She really is."My eyes flashed up hearing her agree with me. A happy chuckle escaped me as I lifted my head up."You think so too? Annoyingly, Dave didn't think that."I said, my face turning blue. The moment was interrupted by Tyra, who appeared with three gu

Celine's POVI continued to walk ahead and Faye followed behind. When I saw that she was close enough, I halted suddenly and turned to confront her."I have to go this way," Faye spoke before I could.I blinked, surprised. She didn't wait, and turned to the left and began to walk away. Was I wrong? I scrunched up my face. Did he really let me go without a guard? I should feel good, but crazily, I felt upset.Just as I stomped my feet and was about to continue, Ethan suddenly appeared. I almost jumped backward, a frown invading my expression. Before I could think to scream, the boys with him charged forward and covered my mouth. They dragged me with them and stopped at a secluded place, throwing me against the wall."We meet again," Ethan said, moving forward. My feet shifted back slowly, watching my steps and looking for a direction to escape. "Unfortunately," I muttered. He chuckled, the sound making my face scowl harder."You still owe me, Celine Sawyer," his voice turned hostile ag
Dave's POVThe moment Celine walked back inside, I turned to Faye."She doesn't seem to like you."Faye lifted her head and walked closer, standing beside Jeff."It will take time, but I will charm her soon," she replied.I nodded.Knowing how much Celine hates bodyguards, I needed a way to keep one closely by her side."Make sure she doesn't suspect anything," I added, and turned to Jeff.He handed me the report for the monthly data of our businesses in Atlantic City. The numbers were a bit disturbing, I might as well deal with that while I'm here.I still had my eyes focused on the screen when Celine walked back out.I moved to set down the tablet, glancing at her when my eyes caught what she was wearing. I stopped halfway. My eyes trailed from the curve of her shoulder down to the sway of the fabric against her waist.Heat crept up my neck and my throat felt dry, my hand tightened around the phone and I straightened. She put on a smile the second our gazes caught, a sweet, innocent
Dave's POVFuck! I really want to kiss her right now.The clothes she's wearing, I could see her body. The soft delicate skin seemed to glow the more I stared at her.I clutched my hand that rested against the dresser and tried to keep a hard expression to conceal what I was actually feeling."You can get angry at me, but never lock me out," I warned, staring in between her eyes. Her jaw tightened in anger as she tried to turn away from me again. I stopped her, yet my gaze flipped just for a second to her neck. That would be crazy, I told myself, but then I leaned down before I could stop myself and my lips crashed against her soft skin.I gave her a bite, restraining myself from actually tasting her. She seemed shocked and stiff for a moment, but she didn't stop me.That made me greedy for more. I lost control in the blink of an eye, and my grip tightened around her chin as I tilted her head a little for better access.I bit a little too hard and she let out a cry. I paused for a sec
Celine's POVBefore I could get a word out, he threw me over his shoulder. "Dave!" I yelled, punching his back. He didn't stop, nor did he let go.He took me to the car and threw me inside like I weighed nothing. I let out a grunt, just to deceive him, to make him think I was hurt, and that worked. He halted and moved closer.I ran a slap across his face immediately, breathing hard. "Stop trying to control my life," I bellowed.Dave clenched his jaw; he looked furious, but I didn't care. All I cared about was that he'd scared Max away, that he'd ruined my normal life. Now Max was going to spread rumors, and everyone would stay away from me again."What was that for?" he turned to me, jaw tightened."For scaring my boyfriend away. You have no right," I yelled at him.He moved fast and got into the car, forcing me to move in. His hands gripped the door behind me, and he glared into my eyes."Do you know your so-called boyfriend was sent to monitor you?"I paused for a second, searching
