14. Confrontation

The first couple of weeks seemed to be going quite smoothly. Even though Damian had been assigned to work with me, I rarely saw him. I found it easier this way, as I could get more work done. Damian had arranged for Zach to help me with anything I needed. The first week, Zach and I were pretty much glued together. I mostly spent the week learning about all of their products. I also wanted to learn about their current building. I wanted to know what worked for them and what they wished they had. I spent a lot of time talking to everyone that worked there. I always found that the best way to get an accurate answer was to talk to those that actually use the facilities. No one knows best than those that work there. I have found over the years that management tends to have a blind eye to what their staff really need. So I wanted to make sure that wasn't an issue in my design. I wanted it to work perfectly for everyone while also being ahead of its time.
