We walked up to the bench and before taking our seats, Atlas motioned with his hand for everyone to take their seats. Everyone sat down and you could hear quite whispering amounts in the crowd. As we were waiting, I noticed Atlas standing up and starting walking towards the front yard. "Atlas, where are you going? We need to start soon." I called him and he turned towards me quickly and replied, " The High Elders are here. I need to greet them and bring them here." He said as he turned and walked away. He returned moments later with two older gentlemen. We didn't really have time for formalities right at that moment, but I would meet them later after the hearing. After Atlas showed the High Elders their seats were in the front row beside his family and mine, he began to address the crowd. Clearing his throat, Atlas spoke. "Good afternoon everyone, I know you all are wondering why the High Elders are here. They are here to make sure that this hearing goes according to the laws in our pa

One year later, "Kale, come down here right now! Everyone has arrived!" Kara yelled at our child as he flew over our heads. "Coming mother," Kale yelled back. Kale soared through the sky, his bright little phoenix form spinning as it dove towards the ground. Kale landed lightly on the ground, shifted into his human form, put on his suit and ran towards the crowd. Everyone was standing in the backyard waiting for him. The backyard was festively decorated with balloons, streamers, and party poppers were being popped as he ran by. Today was his first birthday. I can not believe that I have died not once but twice. I looked around everyone as they were laughing and having fun. Kale and his friends were over by the petting zoo playing with all the different animals. I could not help but feel a little uneasy though, because I knew my son would never have a regular normal life in our pack due to him being like me. But I wanted him to give him the normal life that he deserved. As I was lost i

"What do you mean by that?" Atlas asked with a worried look on his face. "It's nothing serious, I just need a blood sample, that is all, but I need it from your heart." the dragon said as he went to the altar and waited for Atlas to respond. Atlas looked at the dragon questioningly. "From my heart?" Atlas managed to finally ask. The dragon looked at him and nodded his head as he motioned Atlas up to the altar. Atlas followed and when he came up beside the dragon, he drew up a claw and stabbed Atlas in the heart and with a quick breath of a tiny stream of fire burned the hole, slit his own wrist and gave it to Atlas to drink, with he reluctantly did. As he drank the blood, Atlas' wound became fully healed. The dragon then placed a few droops of the blood from Atlas' heart on the altar. "I need you to clear your head and think about Kara and your unborn pup," the dragon told Atlas. Only thinking of Kara and his unborn pup, Apollo begins to become unsettled in the back of Atlas' mind. Whi

After what felt like hours, nothing happened. Atlas knew then that Kara was not coming back. Apollo hauled inside his head, but not in fear, but in sorrow and anger. Atlas was certain that Kara would come back. But after lighting the fire and waiting what seemed like forever and nothing happened like the first time he did that, after she was killed by the Grimlock, Atlas was beside himself and collapsed to the ground drying in agony. His beloved Kara was gone for good. And what hurt him even more, his pup was dead as well. As his mom approached him to console him, he looked up at her and Apollo growled at her. He wouldn't let anyone near Atlas because he knew that if Atlas went down this path he would be able to take control and shift and take their pain out on everyone in the pack. Apollo, as upset as he was, did not want to do that. He held back from shifting but feeling his human's pain was making it hard for him to fight shifting. So, instead, he went and built a wall inside Atlas'

Atlas was beside himself all the way back to his and Kara's house. When Atlas made it back to the oak house he went straight upstairs to his and Kara's bedroom. He could smell her scent in the room. He turned around and locked the door. Atlas hadn't heard Apollo since leaving the hospital, but he could feel him. As he was walking round, his beta knocked on the door. Atas walked up to the door and unlocked it but didn't open it. He’s beta let himself in. When he closed the door, Atlas was already standing in front of his bar in his room pouring a few drinks. Atlas handed his beta a glass and as soon as he took it, Atlas drank all of his and poured himself another and gulped it down. But instead of pouring another, he took the bottle off the shelf and began taking big swigs out of the bottle, wanting to wash today's events out of his head and Kara out of his mind. His beta sensed that Atlas was on a downhill spiral, so he had to try and help him. "Alpha?" his beta asked. Atlas looked at

One day I was walking into the kitchen, I felt the worst pain that I had ever had in my life. Calypso my wolf started howling in my head. "You're going into labor, you need to get Atlas now." she yelled. I linked Atlas and told him what was going on. Before I knew it, he was running into the house. He ran up to me as another wave of pain came over my body. As he wrapped me in his arms, I felt a warm wet gush of fluid hit the floor. "I believe my water just broke!" I exclaimed to Atlas. Atlas quickly linked to our pack doctor and rushed me out the front door. When we got to the car, his beta was already waiting for us. I had another wave of pain shooting through my body. Atlas helped me into the car and cradled me in his lap as his beta drove us to the pack hospital. By the time we got there, I was in so much pain I thought I couldn't take it anymore. "Something's wrong." I softly whispered to Atlas as he helped me out of the car. "You will be fine Kara, I am sure this pain you are feel

  • The Moon Stone Guardian   Chapter 32

A month later, I woke up feeling really sick. I ran to the bathroom and threw up what I had left over from dinner the night before. Atlas came running in behind me and held my hair back while I continued to spill my stomach into the toilet. He called his mom to come over. Once I was done, I rinsed my mouth out and when I walked into the bedroom she was already in my room with Atals and me. "I called the doctor, she should be here any moment." She said. "Why would I need a doctor? I am sure it's just a bug." I replied. "Or it could mean something else," his mom said with a smile. "You think she could be having a pup?" Atals asked. "That's exactly what I mean. Kara dear, when was your last cycle?" she said, smiling at me. I looked at her confused and then it hit me. "I haven't had one since we mated that night." I said. "Then we will know for sure when the doctor arrives. But you need to eat first. If there is a pup in you, you will need all the nutrients you can get." she said as she we
