After what felt like hours, nothing happened. Atlas knew then that Kara was not coming back. Apollo hauled inside his head, but not in fear, but in sorrow and anger. Atlas was certain that Kara would come back. But after lighting the fire and waiting what seemed like forever and nothing happened like the first time he did that, after she was killed by the Grimlock, Atlas was beside himself and collapsed to the ground drying in agony. His beloved Kara was gone for good. And what hurt him even more, his pup was dead as well. As his mom approached him to console him, he looked up at her and Apollo growled at her. He wouldn't let anyone near Atlas because he knew that if Atlas went down this path he would be able to take control and shift and take their pain out on everyone in the pack. Apollo, as upset as he was, did not want to do that. He held back from shifting but feeling his human's pain was making it hard for him to fight shifting. So, instead, he went and built a wall inside Atlas'
"What do you mean by that?" Atlas asked with a worried look on his face. "It's nothing serious, I just need a blood sample, that is all, but I need it from your heart." the dragon said as he went to the altar and waited for Atlas to respond. Atlas looked at the dragon questioningly. "From my heart?" Atlas managed to finally ask. The dragon looked at him and nodded his head as he motioned Atlas up to the altar. Atlas followed and when he came up beside the dragon, he drew up a claw and stabbed Atlas in the heart and with a quick breath of a tiny stream of fire burned the hole, slit his own wrist and gave it to Atlas to drink, with he reluctantly did. As he drank the blood, Atlas' wound became fully healed. The dragon then placed a few droops of the blood from Atlas' heart on the altar. "I need you to clear your head and think about Kara and your unborn pup," the dragon told Atlas. Only thinking of Kara and his unborn pup, Apollo begins to become unsettled in the back of Atlas' mind. Whi
One year later, "Kale, come down here right now! Everyone has arrived!" Kara yelled at our child as he flew over our heads. "Coming mother," Kale yelled back. Kale soared through the sky, his bright little phoenix form spinning as it dove towards the ground. Kale landed lightly on the ground, shifted into his human form, put on his suit and ran towards the crowd. Everyone was standing in the backyard waiting for him. The backyard was festively decorated with balloons, streamers, and party poppers were being popped as he ran by. Today was his first birthday. I can not believe that I have died not once but twice. I looked around everyone as they were laughing and having fun. Kale and his friends were over by the petting zoo playing with all the different animals. I could not help but feel a little uneasy though, because I knew my son would never have a regular normal life in our pack due to him being like me. But I wanted him to give him the normal life that he deserved. As I was lost i
I am not really good at telling people about myself. I am usually shy and a timid person, but being the daughter of an Alpha, that isn't a very good quality to have. But I have to start somewhere. So here it goes. My name is Kara Barlowe. I am the 17-year-old daughter of Luna Anita and Alpha Drake Barlowe. My mother is an Alpha by birth as well, which is rare to happen in the werewolf world, being a female Alpha, which makes me an even rarer person. Because I am an Alpha as well, but I am different from all the werewolves in my pack. I was born into the Lunar Moon pack as a human. That's right. I was born woofless. But neither my parents nor my pack didn't care that I had no wolf. They treated me as one of their equals, as if I had a wolf my whole life. I trained daily with all the warriors and even became one of the pack's best fighters. Even though I was woofless, I was stronger than most humans could even imagine. Because of being without a wolf, I had all their strengths but none o
"Kara dear, where have you seen this place? You are painting it as if you have been there before." I stopped what I was doing long enough to look at her and said, " Oh, this lake was in a dream I had and I wanted to paint it as soon as I got up so I wouldn't forget about it. I thought it was too pretty to not put on a painting." I lied to her, which I don't normally do. " I agree, now come down and eat your breakfast. You can finish your painting after you eat." I told her that I would be right down and that I had to clean up. She leaves and closes the door behind her. I hurried and got dressed in a pair of bluejeans and a flower print top that hung slightly off my shoulders, brushed my long brown hair and ran down stairs. My father had already gone to the office to work and it was just me and mom for the time being because she was about to go to the office today as well. I went back to my room to go and finish my painting I had been working on that morning. I was just finishing u
"Hello Alpha Atlas. I was wondering if you would be interested in coming over this evening for a meeting about strengthening the packs." He replied. " I am too busy at the moment with paperwork and getting this set up for the Great moon festival we are having on the day of the great full moon. But I can make an exception this time for you. I'll be there around 1 pm." I stated. "Great! See you at 1 pm Alpha Altas, enjoy the rest of your day." He stated. I mind-linked Trevor, my Beta (I have a meeting with Alpha Drake of the Lunar Eclipse pack this afternoon and I need my Beta to attend") (I will be waiting next to the car.") he replied back. After hanging up with Alpha Drake, I was thinking of what could possibly be so important that he wanted me to come over this evening instead of another day. I finally finished with my paperwork for the day and looked at my clock and it was already 10 o'clock in the morning when I went to go get ready to leave for my meeting. We left for our l
Now I understood where he was coming from . As I was taking in everything he just told me he picked up a framed photograph from his desk and handed it to me. It was a very ornate frame but as I looked into the picture and looked at her she was very beautiful indeed. She had long gorgeous brown hair that hung just her shoulders. Facial features were elegant and breathtaking. But when I looked into the eyes of his daughter in the picture my wolf went completely bonkers and was dancing in my head. As I set the frame down I looked at Alpha Drake and said "I would like to meet her and I am not worried about her not having a wolf." "Very well." Alpha Drake replied with a smile. He quickly mind linked his daughter and we sat there quietly tell my wolf all of sudden started going crazy in my mind. I looked around the room and asked "Do you feel that or smell something?" Him and my beta looked at me confused when the most delicious smell I ever smelled started filtering in from under the door
She sounded like she was shocked at being called that. I told her that she will be in time but for now I needed to go so she could get some rest. I told her goodnight and before i hung up I may request. I had asked that the next dream that she had was to put it on canvas. I ended the call and fell back on my desk chair and sighed heavily. I couldn't wait for her to come here. I decided that when she got here and was settled I was going to show her the lake and mountains that she had painted. I sat there and smiled as I thought of her being here with me and my wolf was spinning with excitement as well. With that thought I got up and went to get a shower and go to bed. As I slept I had this dream that seemed so real. I dreamt that I was in a brightly lit field in the middle of a forest. The ground was covered with soft grass and bright fragrant flowers all around me. Standing in the middle of the field was a beautiful woman. Where have I seen her before I wondered. Then it hit me she w
