Now I understood where he was coming from . As I was taking in everything he just told me he picked up a framed photograph from his desk and handed it to me. It was a very ornate frame but as I looked into the picture and looked at her she was very beautiful indeed. She had long gorgeous brown hair that hung just her shoulders. Facial features were elegant and breathtaking. But when I looked into the eyes of his daughter in the picture my wolf went completely bonkers and was dancing in my head. As I set the frame down I looked at Alpha Drake and said "I would like to meet her and I am not worried about her not having a wolf."

"Very well." Alpha Drake replied with a smile. He quickly mind linked his daughter and we sat there quietly tell my wolf all of sudden started going crazy in my mind. I looked around the room and asked "Do you feel that or smell something?" Him and my beta looked at me confused when the most delicious smell I ever smelled started filtering in from under the door it was faint but it was there. It smelled of fresh flowers and vanilla and I was so intrigued. As the door opened in walked the woman in the photo. But she looked pissed as if she was about to blow her top at her father for trying to set me up with her as a chosen mate. I couldn't help but chuckle at that thought for if he hadn't called me here I probably wouldn't have found her either. As she looked at me she immediately calmed down and I stood to properly introduce myself and walked up to her, her scent was causing for my wolf come unglued and I was having a hard time from holding him back from marking her already. I reached for hand kissed it softly and the words that I thought never heard came out my lips. "Mate, I finally found you. Mine!"

Her father looked at us with a surprised expression on his face. He wanted his daughter to have a chosen mate but with him inviting me here to meet her he had inadvertently allowed me to find my fated mate and her fated mate. She smiled at me and I returned the smile. I was a wolf doing flips in my head over contact with her. Mark her make her ours now! He was almost screaming at me in my head. I told he it is not the time she wasn't ready. She asked her father to leave us so we could talk and get to know each other. As I was telling her about my pack lands she said that needed show me something. She quickly left the room and came back with what looked like a painting. Upon seeing it I was shocked. It looked just like the mountain chain within my pack lands along with the lake as well. I was surprised that she had painted a picture that looked just like my territory.

I looked at the time and stood up. She walked up to me to see me off. My wolf is purring in my head. "I have to go to my Aruna. I have a pack to run. I will be back for you in a week's time. I will be getting the pack house ready for your arrival." I handed her my number and told her to call me anytime. As I was walking out the door I took one last look at her beautiful face, smiled and left. My head was swimming as we drove back to the pack house. My beta is smiling big at me.

"What?" I knew what he was smiling at me for. "Oh you know what." My beta said with a smile just as big as mine.

I can already feel my wolf getting stronger but something told this was just the beginning of how strong he would become.

When we finally got back to the house I had the staff start preparing for my mates arrival they were excited that we were finally going to have a Luna after I had been searching for years to find her. They were doing their work that was given to them with excitement. I went to my office to get my paperwork done and started a meeting with some of my pack members when I heard the speaker on my desk buzz. "Yes Sophia?" I asked. Sophia was my secretary she had been working for me years. She was like a little sister to me. "Alpha, Luna Kara is on the phone asking for you should I forward her call through?" she asked. I was excited that Kara had called me it had been days since I left her pack. My wolf perked up in my head as I relied "Of course Sophia!" Trying to not show my excitement myself but too let my voice come out eager to speak to my mate.

"Right away sir." As the phone on my desk started ringing with Kara's call. I picked up the receiver "Ah, Kara my Aruna, so glad that you have called me, but such bad timing though I was in the middle of a pack meeting with my ranked members. Would there be any problem with me calling you back after my meeting, love? I hate to be on the phone with you for such a short period of time, but I have things that need to be dealt with as soon as possible," I said to her.

"Of course not, talk to you later," she replied.

"Until then, my Aruna," I said to her as I hung up the phone.

Three hours later my meeting was over so I looked at my watch and saw that it was already late. Would she be up I thought to myself. I picked up my cell and called her number and to my surprise she answered on the second ring.

"Hello Alpha," she said as she answered the phone.

"Kara my Aruna, you don't have to call me by my title. Atlas is just fine." I told her.

"Sorry Altas, it's like second nature to me doing that. It will take some getting used to," she said.

I told her that it was fine and that it will come naturally to her in time.

I had called her cause i wanted to know why she had painted a picture of the lake that was on my pack lands. When I asked her that I could tell she was a little hesitant on answering me but she did and told me that she had dreamt of it and wanted to put it on canvas so she wouldn't forget it. When I asked her if she did this often, she told me she did and that she loved to paint and put places she had been to or seen on to a painting. I quickly mind linked my beta and told him to go to the art store and as much painting supplies he could get and to set up a spare bedroom with good lighting as an art studio for Kara. He did as was told and left without a second thought or question. As we continued to talk I had told her that we only had three days left till I came and got her. She continued to tell me how she had been busy getting her things together that she was going to bring with her and I could hear the excitement in her voice as she was telling me this. And then she asked me why my secretary had called her Luna.

One year later, "Kale, come down here right now! Everyone has arrived!" Kara yelled at our child as he flew over our heads. "Coming mother," Kale yelled back. Kale soared through the sky, his bright little phoenix form spinning as it dove towards the ground. Kale landed lightly on the ground, shifted into his human form, put on his suit and ran towards the crowd. Everyone was standing in the backyard waiting for him. The backyard was festively decorated with balloons, streamers, and party poppers were being popped as he ran by. Today was his first birthday. I can not believe that I have died not once but twice. I looked around everyone as they were laughing and having fun. Kale and his friends were over by the petting zoo playing with all the different animals. I could not help but feel a little uneasy though, because I knew my son would never have a regular normal life in our pack due to him being like me. But I wanted him to give him the normal life that he deserved. As I was lost i

"What do you mean by that?" Atlas asked with a worried look on his face. "It's nothing serious, I just need a blood sample, that is all, but I need it from your heart." the dragon said as he went to the altar and waited for Atlas to respond. Atlas looked at the dragon questioningly. "From my heart?" Atlas managed to finally ask. The dragon looked at him and nodded his head as he motioned Atlas up to the altar. Atlas followed and when he came up beside the dragon, he drew up a claw and stabbed Atlas in the heart and with a quick breath of a tiny stream of fire burned the hole, slit his own wrist and gave it to Atlas to drink, with he reluctantly did. As he drank the blood, Atlas' wound became fully healed. The dragon then placed a few droops of the blood from Atlas' heart on the altar. "I need you to clear your head and think about Kara and your unborn pup," the dragon told Atlas. Only thinking of Kara and his unborn pup, Apollo begins to become unsettled in the back of Atlas' mind. Whi

After what felt like hours, nothing happened. Atlas knew then that Kara was not coming back. Apollo hauled inside his head, but not in fear, but in sorrow and anger. Atlas was certain that Kara would come back. But after lighting the fire and waiting what seemed like forever and nothing happened like the first time he did that, after she was killed by the Grimlock, Atlas was beside himself and collapsed to the ground drying in agony. His beloved Kara was gone for good. And what hurt him even more, his pup was dead as well. As his mom approached him to console him, he looked up at her and Apollo growled at her. He wouldn't let anyone near Atlas because he knew that if Atlas went down this path he would be able to take control and shift and take their pain out on everyone in the pack. Apollo, as upset as he was, did not want to do that. He held back from shifting but feeling his human's pain was making it hard for him to fight shifting. So, instead, he went and built a wall inside Atlas'

Atlas was beside himself all the way back to his and Kara's house. When Atlas made it back to the oak house he went straight upstairs to his and Kara's bedroom. He could smell her scent in the room. He turned around and locked the door. Atlas hadn't heard Apollo since leaving the hospital, but he could feel him. As he was walking round, his beta knocked on the door. Atas walked up to the door and unlocked it but didn't open it. He’s beta let himself in. When he closed the door, Atlas was already standing in front of his bar in his room pouring a few drinks. Atlas handed his beta a glass and as soon as he took it, Atlas drank all of his and poured himself another and gulped it down. But instead of pouring another, he took the bottle off the shelf and began taking big swigs out of the bottle, wanting to wash today's events out of his head and Kara out of his mind. His beta sensed that Atlas was on a downhill spiral, so he had to try and help him. "Alpha?" his beta asked. Atlas looked at

One day I was walking into the kitchen, I felt the worst pain that I had ever had in my life. Calypso my wolf started howling in my head. "You're going into labor, you need to get Atlas now." she yelled. I linked Atlas and told him what was going on. Before I knew it, he was running into the house. He ran up to me as another wave of pain came over my body. As he wrapped me in his arms, I felt a warm wet gush of fluid hit the floor. "I believe my water just broke!" I exclaimed to Atlas. Atlas quickly linked to our pack doctor and rushed me out the front door. When we got to the car, his beta was already waiting for us. I had another wave of pain shooting through my body. Atlas helped me into the car and cradled me in his lap as his beta drove us to the pack hospital. By the time we got there, I was in so much pain I thought I couldn't take it anymore. "Something's wrong." I softly whispered to Atlas as he helped me out of the car. "You will be fine Kara, I am sure this pain you are feel

  • The Moon Stone Guardian   Chapter 32

A month later, I woke up feeling really sick. I ran to the bathroom and threw up what I had left over from dinner the night before. Atlas came running in behind me and held my hair back while I continued to spill my stomach into the toilet. He called his mom to come over. Once I was done, I rinsed my mouth out and when I walked into the bedroom she was already in my room with Atals and me. "I called the doctor, she should be here any moment." She said. "Why would I need a doctor? I am sure it's just a bug." I replied. "Or it could mean something else," his mom said with a smile. "You think she could be having a pup?" Atals asked. "That's exactly what I mean. Kara dear, when was your last cycle?" she said, smiling at me. I looked at her confused and then it hit me. "I haven't had one since we mated that night." I said. "Then we will know for sure when the doctor arrives. But you need to eat first. If there is a pup in you, you will need all the nutrients you can get." she said as she we
