Chapter 16

Ryan's POV

We caught the rogues off guard, they had no idea we were watching them all the while. We had them surrounded. Our position was risky; they had the upper hand in the fight.

“Whatever you do,make sure no one leaves the building.” I said through the mindlink.

We had to contain them in, otherwise they would harm anyone that they come in contact with.

“ALPHA,AT YOUR TWELVE CLOCK!” Liam said hurriedly.

I shifted since fighting in my human form wasn't the best option in this fight, the rogues however didn't shift. They had huge smiles plastered on their faces and my heart twisted in anger as I launched furiously at them.

“WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY COMING FROM!!” Connor yelled.

Within a twinkle of an eye more rogues had surrounded the building which infuriated me and made my wolf rage angrily.

“SHOULD WE RETREAT!” Dante spoke.

“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT,WE HAVE A WHOLE PACK TO PROTECT!!!” I growled angrily.

“How…. why?” The female rogue fell to her feet as I plunged my claws into her mate's heart.

“You bastard!!” She charged at me but Connor slit her throat before she could get to me.

Five of the males charged at me and knocked me down.I grabbed two of them with my claws and tore them apart but the remaining three still managed to press me down. A loud shot rang through my ears and the rogue's body went limp. I pushed their bodies away.

“You're welcome.” Xavier stretched his hands to me.

I took it and stood up,Dante was having a hard time dealing with two of the men and I sped to help him, Connor was doing well tearing them apart, same with Xavier.

I rushed to Dante's side shifting in the process and angrily launched at them. I helped Dante to his feet and he whispered thanks. As soon as we turned we heard Connor's panicked voice coming from the link.I looked around and couldn't find Connor and Xavier, only Liam tearing the rogues into shreds.

Someone was hurt.

Dante and I raced to the other side of the building and we froze when we saw the sight in front of us.Connor was on the floor with a knife plunged to his chest, Xavius lying weakly on the floor and two rogues laughing maniacally.

My eyes turned red and I allowed my beast to take over,I heard my men screaming my name but I was all out for blood. When I was done with the rogues I slumped down and embraced the darkness.

The sound of whispering and the feeling that someone was touching my face made me open my eyes.

“You are awake!” Tasha yelled excitedly.

I groaned and sat up from the bed, Tasha stared at me. I held my head as I tried to remember the past events.

Connor and Xavier!

I stood up but Tasha held me down. “What do you think you are doing?”

“Connor and Xavier?”

“Luke is attending to them.” She sighed. “Xavier just got some stitches, but Connor is in a bad condition.” She said sadly.

I stood up at once when Tasha tried to prevent me. I growled at her and she shifted away from me. I didn't mean to but my wolf was on the edge.

“What happened!” I asked the guys as I entered Connor's room.

“Shouldn't you be resting?” Liam stood up from the chair.

Connor was on the bed receiving a drip. I turned to look at Liam with a worried face.

“It's all my fault.” I clenched my fist.

“Don't say that.” Liam patted my shoulder.

I shook my head “If I had thought of a good plan this wouldn't have happened. It's my duty to protect all of you.”

“It's our fight also.” He sighed. “Luke said he will be fine, Connor is a strong man.”

“What about Xavier and Dante?”

“Xavier is with Dante in the torture room. We were able to get one rogue away from you.” He explained.

Which I knew wasn't easy.

“You scared us there man when you went all red.”

“It won't happen again.” I assured him.

I had to become a beast because my men's lives were at stake,I couldn't do it on a normal day.

Liam and I went to the torturing room Xavier and Dante had done a lot on the tyrant body. He was strapped to a chair with silver chains all around him which was burning his skin as he struggled.

“Anything?”

“He refused to say a word.” Xavier answered.

“You can leave,all of you.” They wouldn't be able to stand the ruthless act I was about to do.

The three of them walked out and shut the door,then I turned to face the rogue who was still smiling sheepishly.

“How did you get into my pack?” I grabbed his hair so he could face me.

“Go to hell.” He spat his blood on me.

I released my grip and stepped away from him, the rogue chuckled.

“Just kill me already, I have nothing to tell you.”

“I like your boldness.” I went to the table where the knives and other torturing devices were kept.

But nothing suited my taste,then I sighted the coal burning and I smirked. I used a twisted rod to pick it and sped to the rogue.I branded his forehead and his scream resonated the whole building.

“HOW ON EARTH DID YOU GET INTO MY PACK!!!”

I continued with my actions when I saw that he wasn't yielding. I stopped. I was about to feed him his intestines when he whimpered.

“From…fr…from…one…one.” He whispered in pain.

I leaned forward and brought my ears closer.

“What did you say?”

“Apex….hot…hotel…room…8.” He stuttered.

“Apex hotel room 8?” I stepped away. “What does that mean?” I shook his shoulder.

But his body went limp. He was dead,I ripped his head out of his neck in anger.

The light flickered on and I was about to curse who turned it on, when I saw Tasha shaking in fear as she stared at my body covered in blood and the rogue’s head I had ripped off in my hands.
