MasukFleeing from the pack
Natasha's POV Several weeks have passed since my public rejection and my one night stand with Ryan when I woke up the next morning he wasn't there again he only left a note saying. “I wish you were more than a one nightstand.” All hell had broken loose and the house became unbearable for me. I never knew Alpha Gabriel was closely associated with my cousin Irene. Teresa found out that Alpha publicly rejected me but she still has the wrong belief that I strongly tried to seduce the Alpha. I'm not even that good looking or curvaceous. “Still slacking off wench!!” I didn't even know when Teresa came outside. “I'm sorry aunt, I'm almost done. Do you still need the groceries?” “Should I still get it from the store?” She didn't give me a reply but looked at me as if I had grown two heads. I took her silence as a cue to get the groceries. I was about to leave the flowers that I was watering when she pulled me to the floor. “Behave yourself Natasha.” She gripped my neck. “Alpha Gabriel will be coming to pay his Luna a visit.” She stressed out the word Luna. “I don't want you around pending the time he's going to leave.” Her hands didn't leave my neck. “Plea..se.” I was losing my breath as time passed. “I don't want you coming out of your room, make sure you stay out of sight!!” “Are my instructions clear!!!” I nodded frequently and she released her grip and I immediately gasped for air. When Teresa left me I locked myself in the room silently waiting for the Alpha to come and go quickly. Hours later I felt the change in aura he was here I could hear Irene's greeting. My stomach growled loudly. I hadn't had anything to eat since yesterday's morning and it was the crumbs of Irene's leftovers that I ate. I couldn't take it anymore the laughter and blistering although the Alpha had rejected me as his mate there was still some lingering bond effect there and I was really scared that he would have noticed that I had been with another man like the way I'm feeling right now.. “If only I was given birth to as a powerful she-wolf,then all this would have not happened at all.” I thought to myself. Alpha Gabriel didn't leave till later in the night for once I thought he was waiting to see if I would show he must have noticed that I was inside but I shunned the thought away, the door opened revealing Irene she folded her arms and took some steps to where I was. “You can go back to your chores now.” Tonight? I didn't have a problem with the chores but I was really hungry. My body is now weak and I'm feeling a little bit dizzy. “Irene…um..” I swallowed my saliva nervously. “I don't have time for your shit, you've got something to say or what!” She increased her voice. “Can…I .. have any of your…leftovers? I haven't eaten anything since morning.” “There should be some leftovers in the bin.” She clicked her tongue and walked out angrily. I ran to the bin in desperation. The state of the food was bad but I had no choice. I shut my eyes and ate the food hungrily before moving to cleaning the floor. “You are still asleep!” The cold water from the bucket woke me up harshly. Irene was standing there. She was the one who poured water on me. I looked at the time it was 10:00am! I stood up immediately. Never in my life did I wake up that late. I was grateful it wasn't aunt Teresa who came to wake me up. It would have been bizarre. “Get some clothes to wear, we'll be going shopping for my wedding.” Irene smiled. Did she just say wedding? Alpha Gabriel was serious about making her a Luna? Out of nowhere I suddenly felt a nauseating feeling and wanting to throw up I rushed to the toilet and emptied my stomach content. What is wrong with me? When I was very sure I wouldn't throw up again I stood up only to meet Irene and Teresa watching me like a hawk.. “Aunt.” I shifted back in shock. Teresa came closer and sniffed me. She drew out her claws and poked me. I winced in pain. I didn't like whatever she was doing one bit. “I should have known.” Teresa bursted into laughter. “Mom, what's wrong?” Irene asked curiously. Teresa's grip on my hands was too tight. I tried to remove her hands but she pulled me back . “Natasha Blake here is pregnant.” My eyes widened at Teresa's words. “WHAT!!” Irene growled. “Aunt…you..are.. mistaken.” I shook my head. I can't be pregnant, this is not supposed to happen to me not now!! “WHO IS THE FATHER!!” Teresa growled in annoyance. “I'm not…pregnant Aunt Teresa.” I tried to deny it. “You wench!!” Irene slapped me across the face. “I'm…saying…the truth.” I tried reasoning. “Fine.” Aunt Teresa stopped Irene from hitting me again. “Don't let her out of your sight.” Teresa left me with Irene. “Don't tell me it's for Alpha Gabriel?” Irene dragged me by the collar. “I'm…not…pregnant.” I stuttered. Teresa walked inside the toilet and handed me a PT. I couldn't bring myself to collect it from her after an intense beating from the both of them. I did the test.. “Positive!!” Teresa shouted. “IS ALPHA GABRIEL THE FATHER!!!” Irene launched at me. Both of them pounced at me demanding the father of my fetus. I silently prayed the baby wouldn't be hurt with the punches they landed on my stomach. The stench of my blood filled the air. When they saw that life was almost leaving my body they locked me up. “I'll make sure the Alpha hears this first thing tomorrow morning.” I heard Teresa say before leaving. “No Mom,my wedding must be held!!” Irene shouted after her. Informing the Alpha would get me killed I looked down at my stomach and wiped the tears that flowed down harshly. I don't even know where he lives. I stood up from the cold floor. I needed to escape from the pack. The pack members wouldn't let me off if they found out. The only way I could escape was in my wolf form when I didn't hear any noise again. I knew they were fast asleep. I slowly tiptoed to the window and leapt down. “IT HURTS!!!” I growled painfully while changing to my wolf form. After breaking some bones and the intense screaming I dashed into the forest with only one thing in mind.. “My child, I need to save my child.”Ryan's POVAnd I meant it. Over the next week, I learned Natasha's new routine. She threw up almost every morning, sometimes multiple times. The smell of certain foods made her sick. Coffee, which she used to love, now sent her running to the bathroom.I started getting up early to make her dry toast and ginger tea. I kept crackers on her nightstand. I learned which foods she could tolerate and which ones she couldn't even look at."I feel useless," Natasha said one morning, lying on the couch with a cold cloth on her forehead."I can barely function."I sat down on the floor beside her, taking her hand. "You're not useless. You're creating life. That takes everything you've got.""I'm supposed to be taking care of Jayden and the house and-""And I'm here to help with all of that," I interrupted. "That's what I'm for. You focus on taking care of yourself and the baby. I'll handle everything else."Tears filled her eyes. "You're being so good about this.”"Natasha, this is our baby. O
A New Beginning Ryan's POVThe moment Natasha heard the news from me that she was pregnant her world stopped. That's all it took to change everything."Ryan?" Natasha's voice trembled as she held the stick toward me. "Are you seeing what I'm seeing?"I blinked hard, making sure I wasn't imagining things. "Is that... are you...""I'm pregnant," She whispered, her eyes filling with tears.I grabbed her and pulled her into my arms so fast that she let out a small gasp. "We're having a baby. We're actually having another baby!"Natasha laughed through her tears, burying her face in my chest. "I can't believe it. I thought maybe I was just late, but then I felt different, you know?”.."And now we're going to have another child," I finished for her, pulling back to look at her face. She was glowing already, or maybe that was just my imagination running wild. "Natasha, this is incredible. This is the best news.""You're happy?" She asked, searching my eyes. "Really happy? Because I know
Natasha's POVI woke up suddenly in the middle of the night with a sharp sickness rising in my chest. It came so fast that I barely had time to sit up. My hand flew to my mouth as I rushed out of the bed and into the bathroom.I barely made it to the toilet before throwing up heavily. My whole body shook as it happened again and again. My throat burned. Tears filled my eyes without me trying. I gripped the edge of the toilet, breathing hard, feeling weak and confused.“Natasha.”Ryan’s voice came immediately. He was already there, kneeling beside me, one hand holding my hair back, the other rubbing my back.“It’s okay,” He said softly. “I’m here.”I shook my head, unable to answer. Another wave came, and I threw up again. My stomach felt empty, but my body kept forcing more out. I felt helpless.Ryan reached for a towel and wiped my mouth gently when it finally stopped.“Easy,” He said. “Take slow breaths.”“I don’t know what’s wrong,” I whispered. “It won’t stop.”“We’ll figure it
Ryan's POVThe months passed quietly, the kind of quiet that comes after long storms. Stability did not arrive suddenly. It came slowly, day by day, decision by decision. Problems were solved, old wounds were addressed, trust was rebuilt as Alpha, I stayed alert, but I no longer woke up every morning expecting trouble. The pack was finally steady.I stood on the balcony that morning, looking down at the training field that had now turned into a play area for pups. Laughter filled the air, real laughter, the kind that came without fear behind it.Jayden was down there. My son was walking now not perfectly, but confidently. His steps were uneven, his balance still learning, but his determination was strong. He moved from one pup to another, holding onto small shoulders, laughing loudly whenever he almost fell.I felt my chest tighten with emotion as I watched him.“He’s getting faster.” Natasha said behind me.I turned and smiled. “Too fast.”She walked up beside me, resting her arm
Ryan's POVThe day of the public event arrived sooner than I expected. Another pack had invited us to attend a formal gathering meant to strengthen ties and show unity. It was not just political. It was also a display. Alphas, mates, heirs, and allies would all be present. Appearances mattered.I stood in our room adjusting my jacket while Natasha finished dressing. Jayden was already ready, sitting on the bed with his toys spread around him. He was unusually calm, watching us with curious eyes.“You look tense.” Natasha said as she walked up to me.“This kind of event always comes with expectations.” I replied. “People watch everything.”She reached out and straightened my collar. “Let them watch.”I looked at her closely. She looked strong, confident, and calm. The woman standing in front of me was no longer weighed down by fear or doubt. She had grown into her place beside me fully.“You ready?” I asked.“Yes.” She said. “Jayden too.”I lifted Jayden into my arms, and he grabbed
Natasha's POVThe days after Selene was banished felt different in a way I could not fully explain at first. The fear that had sat quietly in my chest began to loosen, little by little. I still stayed alert, still watched my surroundings, but I could finally breathe without expecting trouble to appear out of nowhere.I threw myself back into work. The Omega Forum needed attention, consistency, and presence. I refused to let fear slow it down. Every morning, I woke early, checked on Jayden, made sure he was fed and settled, then left him with trusted pack members before heading out.The first visit was to a group of omegas who lived on the edge of the territory. Their homes were modest, their expressions cautious when they first saw me. I knew that look well. It was the look of people who had been promised things before and left disappointed.I sat with them in a small gathering space, listening more than I spoke.“We don’t want trouble.” One of them said quietly. “We just want to f
