Chapter Four - A New Sister

Magnus' POV

I drove up to the gates of the main pack area of the Western Nordic Pack. We have a number of pack houses across our pack lands, as the size of it is all of Norway and parts of Sweden, but this is where the Alpha family live and work from. I stopped at the gates and one of the guards approached my car, as soon as they saw it, he bared his neck and then waved for another guard to open the gate to let me through. I wound the window down as I approached.

"Gregor, it's good to see you again." I said to the gurley guard on the gate.

"Magnus." He grunted in his usual way, he wasn;t much of a talker. but her was one of our best trackers and was always loyal. I drove through the gate and drove through the town on Konnerud. To the human's we were a large gated community that never had houses for sale, humans often approached the guard house to ask but were always turned away. I pulled my car into an empty space, normally I would park in the garage but my wolf wanted to meet his new sister, I would sort it later. I got out and walked towards the pack house, a small jump of excitement to my step as I entered. I felt my wolf get his hackles up and opened my hearing so I could work out what was wrong.

"She's a fucking rouge." I heard a pack member saying. "She doesn't belong here, she isn't even our old Luna's child."

"But she is the daughter of our old Alpha's daughter, technically she has the right to take over the reigns of the pack, she is the oldest child of the Alpha." I heard another pack member saying. "She seems harmless, and Alpha would know if she was dangerous."

"I don't like it, we should do something about her." The first said, they hadn't realised I mind linked a couple of warriors to come and get the man.

"And what do you plan to do to my sister Klive?" I asked making the two men jump to their feet.

"Magnus." Calvin, the other man exclaimed.

"Thank you for standing up for the poor girl Calvin, however, Klive, i think you need to spend a little time out don't you?" I motioned to the two warriors who approached, they took hold of Klive, "My brother will be down to see you, take him to a cell."

They walked off with him and I turned from a shocked Calvin and ran up the stairs to find my brother. By the scent of it all, he was in his office. I knocked and walked straight in before he could say anything, knowing he would know it was me.

"Magnus? What time is it?" My brother asked looking at his watch, shocked to see me here already, obviously he was deep in his work, or deep in thought.

"Eleven," I responded already knowing that he knew.

"How are you?" He asked with a huff as he sat back in his chair, fatigue could be seen throughout his posture.

"Good, one more assignment to complete and I am all done. I can finally come home." I responded with a smile as I sat in the chair on the otherside of the desk to him. "so, tell me what it was that you couldn't discuss over the phone."

"We think that father's fated mate was the lost Princess." He said, getting straight to the point. If this had been a cartoon, my mouth would have hit the floor.

"What?" I exclaimed, "What makes you say that?"

"Kari's wolf has purple eyes. we need to make sure, but we think she is Royalty." He told me, rubbing his hands over his face. He suddenly looked older than he actually was.

"So she should have the mark?" I asked him, still shocked. How did father not know this? He should have felt his mates power.

"And a pure white wolf with opalescent fur." He responded, I remember learning about the Royal family at school. They were a very special breed of wolf, and very powerful, their wolves were supposed to be the most beautiful wolves in existence.

"And why are you accepting her so early? We normally wait until the full moon to." I asked him.

"Because she is technically a rogue, and if the King gets here and takes her away, if she turns out not to be a Royalty." He started.

"He will kill her." I finished, my face pailling.

"And both Thor and Odin are adament we need to do it tonight." He explained. "And Odin will not allow anyone to take him pup from him again.

'She needs to be one of us.' Dellinq said in my head.

"Have you informed the King?"

"Not yet, I want to initiate her into the pack first and then I will call him tomorrow morning. At least that way we can protect her." He responded. I now understand why he seemed so tired. I sighed before I responded.

"That sounds like a good plan, shall we make our way out there?" We both stood and make our way over to the clearing that we preform any pack ritual in. It's a beautiful place where the moon shines down upon the middle of it, helping our wolves strengthen. Fireflies buzzed around creating a beautiful and calming effect. My baby sister, my sister in law and neice as well as my mother and father were already in the clearing as we approached, but the one who pulled my attention to them was a beautiful blonde with a nervous demeanour stood. There was a faint scent emanating from her that had my wolf interested, but confused.

'What is it Dellinq?' I asked.

'I don't know, I thought our mate was here for a moment, but the scent is too faint.' I frowned at his response. I shook my head and approached the girl.

"KAri?" I said bringing her attention to me. "I am Magnus. It is such a pleasure to finally meet you." I said with a genuine warm smile.

"Ah, the second eldest son." She said with a equally warm smile as my own. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well. Thank you for being so welcoming."

"The pleasure is all mine. I have looked forward to this day for some time." I responded. She turned to Henri.

"So what do I have to do?" She asked. We watched her initiation and I felt the usual power surge hit me as she was connected to us, this one though seemed to be stronger than any I had felt before.

"So, no more smelling like garbage?" She asked when it was all over. We all chuckled at her as she looked at hand. I knew what was coming. This must all be so much for her to take in. To be a wolf and not know it for so long must be horrendous. "What..?"

"A bonus to being a werewolf." Ingrid said with a small chuckle. Her Luna ability kicking in. "Fast healing. So happy to have you as part of the pack"

I watched as my parents approached her, my father was nervous and my mother was using her Luna Calm to try and calm him down, although I could feel her own worry coming from her as well.

"Pappa." Kari said in a soft smile.

"I have wanted you here for so long. I only wish I could make everything up to you." He mumbled. I had never seen my father the great Alpha Andreas, my hero nervous. I watched as my sister took a deep breath.

"In time Pappa. I promise, I will give you a chance to explain. Just let me get my bearings." She responded to him, her eyes filled with hurt.

"Of course my little Peppercorn." He smiled at her, and she smiled back. She turned to where me and Henri stood and frowned.

"What is it?" Henri asked her.

"Hela said she couldn;t wait anymore." She murmured, a look of confusion on her face.

"What do you mean? he asked as she fell to her knees and started to scream.

"Shit" I shouted out. "She is shifting."

She screamed out again, from what my brother had told me, this was obviously her first shift.

"Kari, you have to let go, you need to let Hela control the shift. It will be quicker and it will hurt less." Henri said to her. I felt a pull on my sleeve and looked down to see my baby sister Ericka. I crouched down.

"Is my sister going to be ok?" She asked. I picked her up and tickled her trying to take her attention away from what was going on. She was ten, but she would always be my favourite baby sister.

"Kari is going to be fine, but she hasn't shifted yet sweetie. She will be fine soon."

"Is this what it will be like when I shift?"

"No, not at all, your's will be a lot easier, your wolf, when she is ready will help you through it all and explain to you what to do. Kari has only just found out about her wolf and she has been hibernating to protect Kari for the last 10 years, so it is going to be harder for her." Suddenly there was silence and a few gasps. We both looked up to see the most beautiful wolf I had ever come across, her fur shone under the moon light making it look see through. The wolf shook her fur out and looked between us all.

"My pup, you are stunning." I heard my father say as he approached her with caution. He held his hand out and Hela snorted before rubbing her snout against his palm.

"Can I stroke her Pappa?" I heard Heather ask. I watched as the wolf lay on the ground and cocked her head to one side and letting out a playful bark. Heather ran to the wolf and buried her fists in the fur and giggled. Heather climbed on to Hela's back and Hela stood. I watched Henri turn and undress turning in to his large black wolf with white paws. He went and sat next to Hela and I let out a load laugh when she waited until he wasn't looking and licked the side of his face before trotting off with Heather giggling on her back as she cling on to her fur. Thor shook his head in shock before growling playfully. I walked over to mum and place Ericka down with her.

"I will shift then you can get on." I told her and she grinned. I undressed and shifted in to Dellinq. He was a grey colour with the families blue eyes. I leant down and let Ericka climb on and looked to see my father had changed in to his black wolf. After a while my mother got Heather off and I crouched down so Ericka could climb off.

"You four should go for a run, and show Hela the forest." My mother said with a smile. "Take her to the lake and let her see herself." We crept towards Hela, as she threw her head back a howled into the night. We ran off into the forest and enjoyed our time together. We made it to the lake and whilst Hela was looking at herself, the three of us shifted back and pulled on some shorts that were hidden around.

"Kari?" Henri asked getting the wolf's attention. She turned to look at her, her long tail was swishing happily. "I need to look behind your ear. May I?"

Hela sat down and leant her head forward and Henri took a look behind her ear.

"Well?" Our father asked.

"She has it." Henri said, I let out a breath I hadn't realised I was holding. "Jennifer was the missing Princess."
