Astrid Olsen’s POV

I blinked my eyes at the man who just told me that if I wanted to get the funding for my research, I have to sacrifice my freedom and be his wife.

Was he insane or what?

I chuckled as I was trying to process the statement in my head. I don’t know what came over me but all I can say was, “What?”

“You heard me. I know that this research will have the potential that it can shock the world but in order to compensate the funding that I will be giving to you, I need to know that this research will be for my company and mine alone,” he said before the fair man was crossing his arms in front of me. His suit was restraining from the muscles that were bulging underneath it.
