Chapter Fifty-Eight.

Himari POV.

The momentum I use to drive my body forward is what gives me the right angle for the leap I desire. Ashton expects to counter my attack by mostly lunging up at me to not only surprise me and null my attack, but also get away with a neat tap to my back. It’s pretty good, but I’m not attacking him, it’s only a cheap fluke.

Right when his fist is closing in, I shift mid-air, ducking swiftly and spontaneously grabbing hold of his shoulder to control my speed as I bring my feet back to the floor deftly. Still at the height of my speed, I slide my feet over the floor and twist my body enough to run an arc around Ashton. I dart a hand to his open back in triumph.

But I feel his palm against mine right the same moment I think I’m attaining victory.

“Not bad at all.” I hear Ashton say as I straighten up and look to him with a pout, “I was so close”.

Really, I never expected to pull that move so successfully. I only did that move once since my mom taught me. But this is
