9 - Sweat

“Don’t be nervous, they smell fear,” Michelle said, nodding.

My stomach flipped and I was glad all I had for breakfast was a bagel. Even if I could hear my trainer cussing me out for just eating carbs. I was certain the hamster in my brain would burn off the calories. Speaking of, I missed my Butters terribly. I normally spend an hour or more a day playing with him and letting him loose but there hadn’t been any time for that this week.

I know they have dog walkers but do they have hamster people? Is that a thing? Well, I want his soft cuddles anyhow, I don’t want to share them.

I was set to meet with the board in one hour. I had no clue what to expect and everyone trying to prepare me was driving me insane. For the most part everyone was helpful but when Bruce and Harland came to see me I nearly got sick. Neither of them were on the board but they had many, many friends.
