LUNA’S POV
A Pleasant shiver ran down my spine when I felt a hand wrapped around my waist, surprisingly pulling me to his chest. Letting our wild hearts beat against each other.
To my surprise, I realized I was pulled into the arms of no one other than the one person I’d never expected to see again.
Kieran…
A small smile stretched across his face, as he stared at me. His gaze lingered on me longer than it should have, slowly causing a weird creeping feeling up my skin from staring back at him.
“Well, well, well, who would have thought that I’d ever get the chance of bumping into you again!” Kieran said.
His minty scent drifted into my nostrils and I inhaled like I needed him like he was a drug. The scent of him was intoxicating.
So intoxicating, in fact, that when he leaned closer. My deeper breath caught in my throat. All it took was the gentle brush of his finger against mine for my world to come crumbling down.
He placed his hands on my shoulders, brushing his thumb over my cheeks. I arched a brow at him and sighed through my nose as I tried to pull away from his touch. Heat crawling up my neck.
Kieran seemed to have noticed the tension I was having, as he etched closer to me than usual.
“I must say you look quite different, Luna!” he mused.
I shuddered at my name, my eyes closing as moments of pleasure wracked my bones and goosebumps graced my skin.
“Let me go Kieran,”
“P-please,” I stammered.
His eyes closed briefly, and his head tilted back by a few degrees. When they reopened, they were pitch black, and I immediately knew his wolf had surfaced.
Most Wolf’s eyes were close to their human color. But his were pure black; Wild as it can be. He smirked at me and then pulled me in as I slammed my body against his chest, his scent wafting into my nostrils.
I had dropped my gaze in fear, trying to make myself non-threatening, as always. Knowing I was walking on thin ice now since his wolf had surfaced.
“You seem to have forgotten that you actually owe me, plus you and I know that debts in the pack world can be collected in so many ways,” Kieran muttered as his lips grazed my ear.
His arm raised to my face, and I flinched away, closing my eyes with a whimper. However he didn't hit me like I’d expected. Instead, his fingers traced my temple down my cheek. My body froze at the gentle contact. Unsure of how to react.
I heard him inhale deeply, his hand falling from my face. “You're coming with me!”
My eyes darted open in surprise and before I could respond, he grabbed me by the hand and then dragged me to the driveway as he shoved into the passenger seat of his car.
Without a second thought, he drove off into the territory like a wild Wolf, fast and reckless. The screen of my phone lit up as I stared absentmindedly at my phone wondering how I had been at an underground fighting ring a couple of minutes ago and now I had been shoved into the car of Kieran.
“You won't be needing that!” he surprisingly said, grabbing my phone as he had it thrown out the window. I stared out the window shocked at why he’d done that.
“Why would you do that?” I snapped, but deep down I couldn't deny that for some reason I felt something again. Something intense, raw and dangerous that my Omega nature feared and craved all at the same time.
“Hold still!” he yelled, and in seconds he’d pulled up at a pack neutral diner.
I hopped right out of the car, still in fear of what he had in mind to do. But to my surprise he’d asked that we sit by the territory border, to have a quick talk over greasy food.
Without any hesitation, I agreed and then settled right next to him. I stared into the dark, a bit puzzled on how in the world I’d gotten myself wrapped up with Kieran in the blink of an eye.
Just then, I summoned courage to ask the one question that had been tugging at me for months.
“Why were you banished?” I finally asked. And as expected, I got no response. But it was quite obvious that his return wasn't just some accident, clearly someone powerful in the elder council pulled strings to have him brought back to restore balance in the pack hierarchy.
I hadn't realized I so happily stared at him. Ignoring the fact that he didn't seem to like me all too much. My brain felt fuzzy from staring at him silently and in that fleeting moment, he turned to look at me.
Something whimpered in my mind that had me freeze from trying to move my body away from him. But the more I tried, the harder it was slowly starting to get to resisting him.
I couldn't think straight. There was a feminine voice in my brain, and it wasn't mine. This time, it was articulated.
“I want you!”
“Shit” I muttered, and didn't even realize that I had said that out loud.
Staring back at Kieran in front of me, I realized he had a flirtatious smile creased on his face as he etched closer to me. Now staring down at my lips.
“What's wrong princess, can't handle all of this?” He teased, running a hand down my face as if wanting to kiss me.
“I didn't say that!” I shot back. But when I did, his laughter erupted in the air causing my Wolf to stir in my head.
“We’d see about that!” He responded with a smirk, and eyes still locked on my lips.
Just when he leaned close, I reached for his car key, and without any hesitation I perked up to my feet as I scrambled off and headed for his car. Knowing I had to get away.
“Luna!” I heard him call out from behind me.
Chapter thirty Author's POV "You've got me right? Are we good? Victor asked Kieran who's standing in front of him speechless on how to follow his instructions not to talk to Luna. It's obvious to him now that Luna's life is at stake and he's the only one who's supposed to save her life.Should he accept to stay away from her?"What did you say?" The caller asked him. With the voice, Kieran could tell it was Luna. She must have heard him. He'd wanted to say something so that Luna would get to hear his voice but Victor gestured with his hands that he keep quiet."Oh, sorry, I wasn't talking to you," Victor said. "Hold on," he added."it's a secret you have to keep and if you try to do otherwise, we're all gonna lose" he told him sternly and walked outside.Kieran stood perplexed as a thousand disturbing thoughts came into his mind. Should he be reluctant and watch something happen to Luna, the same person he'd been fighting hard to protect? What did Victor even mean by saying they wer
Chapter twenty nineLuna's POV Dylan had picked up the call, but he wouldn't tell me what Kieran had told him. I'm curious to know why Kieran had come to the boutique; with the way he was sounding, I could tell that he'd wanted to tell me something, unlike Victor, who came unannounced. I took out my phone to dial Kieran's number when the phone suddenly rang, and it turned out to be Victor. "Hello," I answered, placing the phone close to my ear. "Hey, what's up?" He asked me."I'm cool and you?" I asked."Cool, and where are you now?" he demanded. "In the hotel," I told him. "Alright," he said. I thought he was going to say something, but he didn't. Was he trying to know if I'm in the hotel or somewhere? What's everybody hiding from me? "Why were you asking?" I demanded. I've got this feeling that he has a reason for calling."Nothing, I was just calling to know if you're getting prepared," he told me. "Getting prepared for what?" I demanded. "Have you forgotten so soon?" he
CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT KIERAN POV I can't I believe this asshole just mentioned that I'm the one who's fit to take the blame. So he's deliberately blackmailing me? Then he should at least tell me how he managed to know this man. "I want you to explain to me how you managed to know him?" I demanded. "Wasn't he the one who gave you the pictures?" He asked me. Isn't he supposed to answer my question rather than asking another question? "Yes, he gave me the pictures," I admitted. "And he had been sending these pictures to people." He said, making me confused. The man never disclosed to me that he'd given anybody else the picture, so what's Victor talking about? "He has been sending these pictures like how?" I asked him. "Just as I left the boutique that same day you came, I got a call that my presence was needed. I headed straight and found these pictures," he said, throwing the pictures on the ground. "And..." "I investigated and then, I got to know that he was the one who sent
CHAPTER TWENTY SEVENKIERAN POV As our eyes locked, the air seemed to thicken, and I felt a shiver run down my spine. Victor's gaze was unnerving, but I refused to back down. His broad shoulders filled the doorway, making him appear even more imposing. I took a deep breath, trying to calm my racing heart. I wondered if he had been tracking me, and a chill ran down my spine as I thought about being watched. Victor's knowing smile hinted that he could read my thoughts, and I felt a surge of unease and curiosity."Surprised to see me?" He asked me with a smirk on his face."What are you doing here?" I asked, attempting to sound calm. Victor's expression remained unreadable, his eyes never leaving mine. The silence stretched out, and I felt like I was trapped in a vortex, unsure what would happen next. Suddenly, he spoke, his voice low."I should be the one asking you what you're doing here," he told me. "I wasn't expecting you, and I never thought you'd know this place. So, I guess it'
CHAPTER 26KIERAN'S POV "You mean Victor was the one who attacked the Luna?" She asked me in disbelieve."Yes he did, he went along with your son," I told her."Than why is he spreading rumours that you're the one who'd attacked her?" She asked me."I don't know why he's doing this, I guess he's trying to cover his tracts." I told her."So what are you going to do now?" She asked me.I'm confused. Going to attack him now might turn out to be terrible. Victor would be ready to fight me knowing that I will definitely expose him."You shouldn't remain quiet and allow that bastard keep spreading rumours against you. You've had enough already. Being accused and banished; you shouldn't hesitate this time else, it might cost you your life." She told me.She's right, I'm not supposed to keep silent and allow things get out of hand. Sooner, all the social media platforms would start spreading the news of Luna's attack and my name would be all over town.I'm trying to rebuild my life and I nee
Chapter twenty fiveKieran's POV I gave the man some money, although he'd initially rejected it. I insisted he take it, and eventually, he accepted. Afterward, I drove back to my apartment, preoccupied with thoughts of Luna. I desperately needed to speak with her, but I knew she wasn't ready to listen, given the rumors that had been spread about me. Victor was behind the rumors, claiming I was the one who tried to kill her in the woods. I wondered what his true intentions were, especially considering he'd proposed to her and then attacked her. Was he a psychopath, or was there more to it? Was Liam involved? Luna could be in grave danger if I didn't find a way to warn her.I dialed her number, and the phone rang several times before going to voicemail. I tried again, and again, until she finally picked up on the third attempt. Instead of Luna, Dylan answered. "Hello?" he said. "Kieran, what do you want from my sister?" I was taken aback. "Is Luna there?" I asked. "Kieran, tell me w
