KIERAN’S POV

“Seriously?” I yelled, running along the driveway headed where she was headed. I glared at my watch, irked at Luna’s silly act of running off with the keys to my car.

It took all my self-control, to refrain from shifting into my Wolf and having her pulled into my grasp. Sweeping her fully into my arms, and claiming her.

Her enticing scent filled the air, overtaking my senses. Slowly clouding my judgment of her a while ago. That I forgot everything about the underground ring thing and the night as soon as I laid my eye on her.

I had just met her and I was already a mess. It terrified me to an extent, but at the same time, it excited me in an unfathomable way.

“You do know how to drive a luxury car, right?” I asked, watching her hop into the driver seat of my car.

“I guess, plus what harm would it cost if I have it bashed anyway?” Luna teased, leaning her head back with her determined gaze fixed on me.

“I wouldn't do that if I were you!” I said. And in seconds she started the ignition as she had us driven to the gated pack territory, where the rest of the Stone pack leaders resided.

As soon as we’d arrived at the gates, chaos unfolded inside me knowing I could get singled out and caught by the guards without a claimed Omega. And with Luna by my side, I found her totally fit for the whole set up.

We pulled into the isolated Street and made our way through the lush forest surrounding us. The mansion we were headed to was away from the hustle and bustle of the pack quarters.

Luna pulled up to the first checkpoint, where the patrol guards stood. And without any hesitation, I pulled out my Alpha Identification card and had it placed right over Luna’s Omega ID, almost making it quite obvious from the pretense that she was claimed by me.

With Luna’s fingerprint scanned, the black iron gate ahead of us slowly slid open. Letting us through.

“Welcome!” a guard spoke attempting to keep his eyes off me. Obviously feeling a bit intimidated by my physique and presence.

We pulled up in front of the mansion, which had more security than the damn white house, and parked in front of the garage. I hopped out, throwing my leather jacket over my shoulders wondering why of all the places she’d brought us here.

“Luna,” a familiar masculine voice called out from the fifteen-foot-tall double door which had swung open roughly the minute we hopped out of the car.

Looking up I slowly realized who it was. Liam the Alpha prime and Dylan who surprisingly turned out to be Luna’s brother beside him. My Wolf growled at the sight of both men, and I could tell that I was in for a fight, with both men present.

“What on earth are you doing here?” Dylan grimaced, taking a step towards me in anger.

“Traitor!” I scowled back, making more steps towards him as well ready for whatever he had coming my way. But just as we both did, Luna surprisingly comes in between us glaring at Dylan.

“Not out here gentlemen,” She said calmly.

“You heard your girlfriend Kieran!” Dylan said mockingly. I etched closer to him with my fist clenched ready to strike.

“Enough!” Liam yelled from behind us, causing us both to pause in our tracks.

“Kieran, Dylan, my office now!” He snapped and in seconds I followed suit from behind him like he’d ordered a couple seconds ago.

“Why on earth are you back?” Dylan hissed as we settled in, but I had him ignored knowing I had other reasons for accepting to be there.

“Kieran, why didn't you announce your return from banishment?” Liam cut in, with furrowed brows staring back at me.

“I didn't come here for a fight, or to challenge you for the Alpha prime position. But what I do want is the Beta commander position Dylan currently holds!” I blurted out, glaring at Dylan next to me.

“How dare you?” Dylan protested. And I stared back at him, unmoved by his damn words.

“Seriously Dylan?”

“I mean, where were you both when I needed you the most being abandoned to the northern territories. Without a Trace for help,” I blurted out angrily.

“You let the whole pack down, and there was nothing we could do!” Dylan snapped.

“Lies!!!” I yelled, my Wolf slowly becoming visible.

“I was out there all alone to the northern territories, all by my fucking self!” I yelled. And just when I did, silence filled the room with neither of us saying a word to the other afterward.

“What do you want?” Liam surprisingly cuts in a couple of minutes later, glaring at me from his end of the room with both hands shoved into the pockets of his pants.

“You know exactly what I want!” I snapped back with a forced smile creased on my face.

“Fine, you can have whatever position you want!” Liam responded, slightly frustrated.

“But first, we'll have to discuss it at a formal pack council meeting,” He added.

A smile stretched across my face from his sudden approval, as I had the collar of my shirt adjusted feeling a bit fulfilled.

But then, a loud distressed howl erupted in the air. Slowly alerting me to the fact that Liam now had pups upstairs.

“When were you going to tell me?” I asked mockingly referring to Liam’s Pups. I picked up my leather jacket, had it thrown over my shoulders as I smiled into the angry face of Liam in front of me.

“I was never ever telling you. Stay away from my bloodline or you’ll regret it!” Liam grimaced.

Knowing I had better places to be, I perked up to my feet headed for the door. Without a single glance at Dylan and Liam, I walked right through the door with a smile creased on my face knowing I’d somehow gotten under everyone’s skin.

But I was more than glad, being back to the territory. And also knowing that I was here to stay…

I opened the fridge and grabbed a water bottle and an apple from the counter. And just as I was about to take a bite, I paused mid-bite. Feeling a presence to my right. To my surprise, I realized I was pulled into the arms of no one other than the one person I’d never expected to see again.Kieran…A small smile stretched across his face, as he stared at me. His gaze lingered on me longer than it should have, slowly causing a weird creeping feeling up my skin from staring back at him.“Well, well, well, who would have thought that I’d ever get the chance of bumping into you again!” Kieran said. His minty scent drifted into my nostrils and I inhaled like I needed him like he was a drug. The scent of him was intoxicating. So intoxicating, in fact, that when he leaned closer. My deeper breath caught in my throat. LUNA’S POV“Finish him!” A voice in my head made me snap back to reality as I bolted upright, breathing heavily. The scene of two hefty wolves in human form fighting off their bets in the underground fighting ring. With other wolves present to cheer them on.“Help!” I watched one of the opponents growl, with his jaw tensed tightly, glaring at the man in front of him with such hatred that could pop a blood vessel. They both collided into one another, balling their hands into fists. In seconds, one of the men fell to his knees suddenly, his brows furrowing as his eyes became teary and I could tell he was slowly losing his breath from being strangled by the other. Surprisingly they had him released, a single tear dribbled down his cheek as he clutched onto his heart trying to catch his breath. Lost in the thoughts of the torture of watching mere wolves unalive themselves, I’d suddenly bumped into a figure in front of me causing me to fall off to the floor amidst the rowdy crowd of most

  • The Omega's Vow; Mine Was Never a Love Story   Letting go

LUNA’S POVStaring at myself in the cracked bathroom mirror, I took in my appearance just as I did every morning before tending to my cuts. I wasn't particularly sure why I did such a thing every day but all I can recall was that I was hurt. Knowing it's been a year since I’d lost my mate and lover Raven to the attack.A lot apparently had changed. Every now and then I may have a new cut or bruise to cover from me hurting myself. But besides that, my dark-brown hair, light olive skin and blue eyes remained unchanged. It's not like it mattered how I looked anyways, no one noticed me. A few of the Omegas I worked with would around to chat with me every now and then but for the most part of even they avoided me. Even though I was tagged an Omega, I was still ranked above them. Raven always made sure of that… But now with him gone, I was back to being the Omega girl I’d always been. My Omega scent now dulled with grief. It was dark again, and the lightning struck in areas further away.
