Mated To My Enemy And His Mate

Elena's Pov

With each step I took out of the manor, the words kept replaying, at the back of my head, 'Mate... Rejection...' just as the same husk voice from my dream repeated these same words. I just hope it doesn't come true.

The night poured down its chills, allowing them to sink into my skin as I walked into the big hall. I raised my head staring at the moon which shone through the glass, pouring down its milky light.

" Happy birthday, Lena." A familiar feminine voice came behind me. 

I turned sharply, my jaw dropped. Utterly stunned, I never believed someone would remember this day. " Thanks so much!" I said. 

Today was my last hope, I didn't shift when I turned fifteen. And today, I am eighteen. I just prayed it would happen. I wanted to see my wolf. I don't want to be classified as an omega. 

" Don't worry dear, your wolf would be gorgeous." She said, wrapping her hands around my body. Her warm hug made my heart melt.

" I hope it comes true." I said, my voice low. 

I stared at the altar as the elders moved the golden cup to complete the moon ceremony ritual. They poured the red liquid into the large moon bowl that has a crest symbol around it. Almost immediately, the elder.with the largest golden cup raised his voice. 

" Now we see the Alpha's new transformation!" He said, immediately gesturing toward the left door. 

At that moment, a rose enticing smell filled my nose, it was very intoxicating. Subconsciously, I began moving, trailing the scent. It was so strong and nice to the extent I couldn't stop myself from getting close to it. 

I moved closer and closer, as the scent also became stronger. At that moment, the left door flew open, revealing a very familiar figure, my enemy. As soon as I laid my eyes on him, my mind drifted back to the horrible scene of how he ruined me. 

Jayden Morningstar, the son of our Alpha. My breath hitched, my heart hammering against my ribs as if it would leap out of my chest any moment soon. I stared at him, as my hands ran cold. 

As soon as he laid his eyes on me, I slowly retracted, shaking my head. No, no, he can never be my mate. Flashes of the night he ruined me replayed at the back of my head as if drafted there already. 

My eyes burned as tears welled up in them. I raised my hands, covering my mouth as I retracted into the crowd. But as I had anticipated, he began running towards me. He was so fast I could not even run past the guards before he caught up to me. 

" You filthy bitch." He said, jerking my hands. 

" Let go of me!" I screamed, my voice echoed through the hall catching the attention of people around us. It was just like a cinema. 

As soon as we got to the great altar, he made the statement. " I, Jayden Morningstar, Alpha of Silver Stone pack, reject Elena Nightingale as my Mate!" His words cut through me like a blade. 

And at that moment, I felt a sharp energy slowly seeping out of my body. My chest tightened, air escaping through my lungs. And for a moment I forgot how to breathe. I stared as a small smirk appeared across his lips. 

The words from the husk voice in my dream suddenly replayed itself at the back of my head. It came through. I fought to stand still, as my vision blurred. Now what...

" Take her away!" That was the last thing I heard him say as I drowned into the dark abyss...

Slowly my eyes fluttered open, a sharp pain ran through my veins, my torso aching. I felt tiny explosions at the back of my eyes as my vision blurred. A damp mud smell hit my nostrils followed by a strong metallic smell forcing me to lower my head.

And that was when I realized everything... I was in the pool of my own blood. A wave of nausea hit me hard. I quickly swallowed the lumps in my throat as tears beaded my face. I struggled to stay awake when I heard a loud growl around me. And that was the last thing I hea

rd as I was plunged back into the dark abyss.
