It's time, and I am scared. I know these people attacked us, and I know these men are the definition of evil, but I am still afraid. I am scared that once Atticus kills them, he will lose himself even more.
My mother once told me, killing whether it is justified or not, tears at the soul. You should only do it as a last resort. Since I have experienced killing someone, I know her statement is true. Jasmine hasn't left my mind. I now know that even if the person deserves to die, it still hurts you, and Atticus is already hurt. So hurt. Wounded to his core, actually.
"Should he really be handling this," I ask Logan as we approach the battlefield we have decided to use?
All the prisoners have been lined up, and our warriors let us know it is time. We are actually a little late since we were talking to mourning pack members.

GAVIN POV I smile as I look around at the calm surroundings. This is a nice place to meet our wolves for the first time. It has healthy-looking grass, and the earth isn't covered with concrete. GAVIN POV This is amazing. I have never felt this free. Everything is enhanced. The sounds, the smells, everything. Why doesn't everyone just stay in this form? I could live like this forever. I grin internally as we whip past a few trees. The terrain here is nothing like it is at home, but I could see the appeal. The mountains protect Outcast on almost all sides. The grovel-like soil isn't all that fun to run on, but the view makes up for it. All in all, it is a safe and beautiful location.Shannon- We have run a long way.
