The jet finally took off after all the ridiculous chaos at the private airport.

My people did not expect me to appear at the private airport in the middle of the night and order them to get the plane ready in five minutes.

They looked as if they had swallowed burning coals, scrambling around, bumping into each other.

I did not care. Every second wasted was another second my Queen and son were trapped behind a barrier strong enough to terrify even Rowan.

Now that we were in the air, flying for an hour felt like decades.

I stared at the dark sky outside the window, frustration twisting inside my chest like a thorned vine.

I wished I could simply teleport straight into Shadowhaven Castle. Still, the distance was brutal, far beyond what I could safely cover without collapsing upon arrival. I would reach faster by jet.

Besides, exhausting myself now would be a dangerous mistake.
