ADRIAN'S POV

I sat gently in Candice's living room, waiting for Camila and Drake to return. I had asked him to keep an eye on her and search for her while she was with Eliza to avoid anything fishy that Eliza might want to do.

“Here.” Candice's voice pulled me out of my thoughts as she placed a glass of juice before me. She sat on the other sofa, folding her legs as she sipped from hers.

“Thank you,” I replied before taking the glass and drinking from it. The coldness made me calm a bit. “Candice,” I called her and she looked at me with a raised brow. “Do you still like Drake?” I asked her and she looked at me with her smile wiping off.

“Do not get me wrong, I am not asking because he asked me to. But it seems you're still in love with him.” I said calmly and she scoffed.

“I didn't say I wanted to permanently break up. I said I just need a break. I traveled and by the time I was back, he was already with another freaking woman. Who does that?” She said with a low sarcastic laugh. “
