Later that evening, Alexandria came back to Jingfei’s cottage along with Lucien and as soon as he caught sight of his cousin, Alexander’s expression turned sour. Quickly, Jingfei’s hand landed on his hand to calm the man.
“Yes? Do you two want anything?” Jingfei asked and as she removed her hand from Alexander.
Alexandria glanced at Lucien first before she spoke, “We want to invite you two for dinner. I know you two haven’t had your meal yet.”
Jingfei’s gaze shifted on the man beside Alexandria, “I’m afraid to say this but we will decline your invitation. I and Alexander wanted to have our dinner at the nearby seafood restaurant we saw while coming her this morning.” Jingfei politely answered and she could see different emotions resurfacing in the man’s eyes.
