Scarlett’s POV

It was one that had shaped her beliefs and values since she joined the pack. It was a conversation she had with Freda, the pack's wise and experienced alpha, not too long after Scarlett had become a part of their family.

Freda's voice echoed in her mind, stern yet full of wisdom. "Scarlett, being a part of this pack means more than just strength and agility. It means a commitment to protect and support one another, no matter the cost. We are a family, bound by loyalty and love. Never forget that."

Scarlett clung to those words as she faced Ragnar's relentless assault. She could almost hear Freda's voice again, urging her to find her inner strength, to remember why she had chosen to become a part of this pack in the first place.

Drawing on that memory, I pushed the pain aside and focused on Ragnar. "I may be bruised, but I'm not beaten," I retorted, trying to catch my breath. "You're not the only one who fights for something they care about."
