Annabel’s Pov.

“Erm… are you okay, Anna?” He stammered, the shock in his voice surprising me and that was when I noticed the wetness on my face.

I coughed, embarrassed at myself for crying and shedding tears for something that happened long ago but I couldn’t help myself, the story of her death was just so touching and felt so real that I could not help the tears falling from my eyes.

“Y-yes, don’t mind me, please continue.” I urged while cleaning the tears in my eyes.

“I don’t think there will be any need for that because Hunter is already here, he’ll take over from me.” He said while getting up to leave. “Don’t take his actions to heart Anna, he was just scared of losing someone he cared about again.
