Back to the present, after Elowyn ate her food, she began to focus on Linda.

“Where are we going. What is it called?”

“Aynor town. It’s a private small town with a reasonable number of residents,” Linda answered cautiously.

Elowyn’s eyes lit up when she heard that. She wasn’t particularly fond of bustling places. They made her feel socially awkward. She was more used to staying in secluded places. Perhaps she was influenced by her mother, who took her to stay in the woods for years before she found Hilary, who took her to stay with his pack, which resided in the woods as well.

Due to their uniqueness, it was rare for packs to live amongst normal human beings. They might mingle and work with them, but to live amongst them, that would mean increasing the risk of being found out.

There weren’t many people who knew about the supernatural. Whilst the leaders knew about it, normal humans had no clue. To avoid unsettling situations from happening, it was stated that supernatural shouldn’t expose themselves carelessly. Thus, most packs, covens and vampires tend to live seclusively or just form their own towns or villages where they don’t have to worry about being found out.

“I am liking it already!” Elowyn didn’t bother to hide her excitement as she thought about the small town.

After living with Hazel in the woods with just the two of them, she was reminded of the years she spent living with her mother. Living in serenity suited her better than a bustling place.

She could sense that Linda didn’t know about her identity, which worked well in her favor. Hazel had repeatedly told her about how dangerous it was for anyone to know about her identity. Even the alpha she was meeting shouldn’t know unless it was necessary.

However, she was fully aware that she was going to be living with a unique pack, and she was curious to see what kind of supernatural beings she was going to meet.

Linda, on the other hand, was relieved when she saw that smile on her face.

“You will definitely like it!”

“Hehe,” Elowyn chuckled in return, all the stress vanishing.

Seeing her very approachable, Linda mustered her courage and asked, “how did you meet Lizzy by the way?” curious about how these two met.

When Elowyn heard about Lizzy she didn’t bother to hide but truthfully responded. After all, she was curious about how the two angered each other to the extent of provoking each other all the time.

When Linda learnt about that, she was even more surprised. After all, that hybrid wasn’t the kind who approached others first willingly.

She couldn’t help but think about her earlier conjecture.

Elowyn was not normal. There should be something different about her, and her curiosity was further piqued.

However, she didn’t rashly reveal how she knew Lizzy. After all, it wasn’t certain whether Elowyn knew about their identity. So, until she brings her back to the pack, she could only gloss over some matters. And Elowyn didn’t seem to mind at all.

Linda drove to the town where she left her cousins, and when Elowyn met them, she didn’t look down on them simply because they didn’t talk but cheerfully used sign language to communicate with them.

She didn’t have much to do in her spare time, so she learnt quite a lot of things, which unfortunately she was unable to use during the three years she wasted living in that pack.

Linda was happy seeing her cousins communicating freely with someone else. It was very rare and she felt grateful watching that scene.

The trip to Aynor town was very pleasant and as the car drove into the compound gate, Elowyn sat straight taking in the beautiful scenery.

It was indeed a small town, but a luxurious one.

Looking at the standalone villas scattered in the compound, her face twitched, wondering just how rich the alpha was to build such a town.

It was even better when compared to the Whitecrest pack. Except for the pack house where the alpha lived, the other houses weren’t that luxurious.

The pack wasn’t that rich to be honest and the way of living was minimized and yet here, she was seeing the opposite. She was going to love this place and she hoped that she would get what she was looking for. Otherwise, what would be the point of admiring the luxuriousness when the training she desperately needed wouldn’t be received?

Unknown to her though, what she was going to gain was much more than what she came for. And one day in the future, she would think back to this day and smile knowing that she made the right choice.

“We are here!”

Meanwhile, standing in front of the mansion was Kayden who had a puzzled expression as he watched the car approaching.

[Can you smell it?] Caesar excitedly asked, and Kayden could actually picture Caesar whirring his tail in excitement.

How could he not smell it?

The distance was not that, so his nose was working perfectly.

He was used to several scents. Each werewolf, witch and supernatural that lived in his pack and town, he knew their scents by heart and yet this time, it was a different scent. An alluring kind that stunned him on the spot.

As the car neared, the scent became so intense that even Caesar was clamoring and urging him to move forward. His wolf was even threatening to come out if he didn’t do so.

He wasn’t sure what was happening but he had an inkling that things were about to go crazy and his premonition was on point the moment he locked gaze with the young girl sitting in front on the passenger’s seat donning a sweet smile.

[Kayden, let’s make her ours!] for the first time in his twenty-eight years of living and over a decade of being part of the supernatural. Kayden heard the strong determination his wolf had, and this feeling was quite new and unexpected.

Being an alpha and a high-ranking werewolf. It was expected of him to find his mate and give his pack a Luna who would lead by his side.

If he takes aside the fact that he was a werewolf, he was also a handsome, rich man hailing from a prominent family. A bachelor who was sought out on the market and had different women throwing themselves at his feet.

He had his share of women to be honest, but just like any other supernatural, fated to have that one mate to spend the rest of his life with. He had never been careless and be with someone that he would be forced to break up with in case his mate appeared.

He didn’t want to be a scumbag. Give a woman hope and make her fall for him, only for him to dump her in the future. So, he had remained single and never tolerated anyone maneuvering her way into his heart.

And yet, his wolf, which according to norm should only be attracted to its mate was busy desiring someone who wasn’t. what was happening?

‘Don’t cause any trouble!’ he warned with a hiss while maintaining his expression while waiting for the people in the car to alight.

[But ….]

‘It’s not the right time to talk about this,’ he cut off Caesar’s rambling and started walking towards the people, his gaze on the sweet girl with a sweet scent that was becoming richer the closer he approached.

Meanwhile, Elowyn had spotted this handsome man from a distance, and honestly, she was taken aback.

How could a person be so tall and handsome?

For a moment, she even forgot that she was hurt because of a man whom she fell for his looks at first sight. It couldn’t be helped. She was a beauty control and anything pleasing to the eyes, she couldn’t help herself.

Badum. Badum.

And the hilarious part, her heart pounded wildly for a moment but she didn’t take that to heart. After all, a person can he shocked right?

As she alighted from the car, she couldn’t help but lock gaze with the man and she felt heart creeping up her cheeks.

How could a gaze be so fatal?

He should be a player, right?

Suddenly, all the good feelings evaporated as she thought about that.

There was no way such a man was innocent, right?

“Kayden!” she called out to him, and he nodded at her.Earlier, the Alpha had told her repeatedly to call him by his name without the title. Although she felt uncomfortable at first, after exchanging words a few more times, she found herself calling him like that.Perhaps she adapted pretty well because she used to call Hilary by his name as well. Especially when they were alone.Anyway, that wasn’t the crux of the matter right now. She wasn’t with Hilary anymore but with Kayden.[Doesn’t she look beautiful?] Caesar shamelessly boasted as he groomed himself, and Kayden found himself taking several sneakier glances at Elowyn. She wasn’t wearing any fancy clothes, yet she looked ethereal. His heart couldn’t help but pound.‘Beautiful!’“Um ….. um,” but that wonderful moment was disrupted when Letty cleared her throat exaggeratedly, making Elowyn’s fa

With her mind made up, Elowyn no longer stressed herself with many things.Recalling what the Alpha had told her earlier, she started freshening up, getting ready for dinner. It was time to meet others and get acquainted with them. *****Meanwhile, inside Kayden’s villa, he was in the main living room with several people who looked quite relaxed and not imposing.“Kayden, are you really sure that we should keep this girl?”“Yes, she looks a bit delicate.”“What’s her story?”Kayden looked at the men and women who were not just his subordinates, right-hand men, but also friends with a smile. He couldn’t help but remember how lonely he was when he first joined the supernatural world. The fear, doubt and many other thoughts. He was lost, but one by one, meeting them made his life pretty much easier. They have been togethe

Elowyn was in a great mood as she looked at the villa she finally settled on after checking the other villas that were currently not in use.To think that Alpha Kayden could build so many villas for his pack members to live in, she could see the love he has for his family, and that alone made her like the man even more.Coming to the Aynor pack, Elowyn always knew that her stay was guaranteed. After all, Hazel had settled everything for her. But in that moment when she was speaking with the Alpha, she couldn’t help but want to do something for herself. She alone understood how badly she wanted this chance. She knew that the Alpha didn’t have any reason to train her or be involved with this mess. That’s why she went down on her knees to beg him for this chance. She wanted him to know her earnestness. Her looks can be deceiving, and that could be deadly. What if no one takes her seriously or simply assumes that she is delicate and couldn&r

“I will have your identification problem solved before the end of the week. So, I might need your details, if you don’t mind.”Elowyn readily gave them. she didn’t even need to give false information at all. however, she couldn’t help but remind him of something.“I am not sure how you will find my name written in the system. If it’s not deceased, then please just have my previous identification reissued, but if it comes out as deceased, then please use Gardner instead of Gregory as my last name,” she firmly said, taking into account that Hilary might have declared her dead. After all, she truly died in some sense that night.Kayden was curious when he heard that. After all, how could a living person be announced dead all of a sudden? So, he asked her directly.“Do you mind telling me about what happened to you? Why do you need to hide and what you want to achieve? You can choose not to say anyt

She was once fooled by Hilary, and she wasn’t going to let another man fool her again.Luckily, she was only here to stay away from trouble and train. She wasn’t here to date and fool around. With her goals firm, she pushed aside her bias towards Kayden. However, he lives his life, which was on him and not her.So, why fuss? With that in mind, her eyes softened as a smile appeared on her face.Unknown to her, her changes were all captured by Kayden. In fact, her scent shocked him. From being sweet to sour suddenly. It was sour briefly and in that short moment, he could sense this strong aversion towards him that he couldn’t understand. Not understanding what her mind was thinking, the sourness vanished, replaced by the sweetness that got him enchanted. If only he could read her mind, then wouldn’t he be stressed?Unfortunately, there was no way to solve this problem.
