Snowflakes and Sentiments

Several thick layers of snow covered everything in sight, from the bare branches of the humongous Pines, to the jagged rocky lands and hill slopes, the solitary flowing river nearby too, was encased in frosty glass.

The freezing cold vast stretches of the oddly aligned peaks, that were collectively called the Snowy Mountains, truly lived up to its name, providing a perfect set of conditions to ensure, that a werewolf either gets trained to its best abilities or dies of frostbite, and fortunately all the Alphas that were receiving the training currently, did not experience the latter.

The special training camp for Alphas at the Snowy Mountains housed candidates from all places far and wide, almost all of them being absolute strangers to each other, but as the years passed by, most of the Alphas had formed a great bond together and despite being of a reserved nature, Adrian had befriended some amazing Alphas too.

“Finally, we’re back, no matter how many times I do this, I’ll never really get used to it.” A tall Alpha boy spoke, while panting heavily, crouching with both gloved hands on his knees.

“Why do you always have to address it, Jackson, we all do the mountain climbing everyday too, but we don’t complain every time we do it.” Another shorter Alpha replied, while rolling his eyes at the first one.

“Don’t make me lecture you about freedom of speech and expression my dearest, Sebastian.” The taller Alpha batted his eyelashes innocently at the boy named Sebastian.

“Please refrain from calling me that.” Sebastian grumbled while making a disgusted face at the taller boy named Jackson, who was now pouting.

“Don’t say that Sebastian you’re the most precious to me, extremely grumpy and rude but still precious.” Jackson praised and started nudging Sebastian’s shoulder, with his broad ones playfully.

“Get away from me, seriously why can’t you be like Adrian, he is so mature and he’s literally three years younger to you, have some shame.” Sebastian pushed Jackson to the side and jogged a few steps ahead to walk beside Adrian, who was looking at his two friends argue in amusement.

“Wait for me!” Jackson whined, as the two Alphas began walking even faster, laughing at their tired friend, who was desperately trying to catch up.

Adrian being eighteen years old, was the youngest of all the Alphas in the training camp and his group of friends included his five roommates, out of which the two walking with him, were his best buddies.

The twenty-year-old Alpha, Jackson Flint and the twenty-one-year-old Alpha, Sebastian Hawthorn, had grown the closest to Adrian in the entire camp, they took care of him like a younger brother, and they all stayed together in a group that was considered the best and the strongest of the camp.

All of them were of different personalities especially Jackson, Adrian and Sebastian, but somehow, the three of them ended up to be the most comfortable with each other.

They were headed towards the bon fire at present, where they could finally relax after a whole day of rigorous mountain climbing and combat training.

There were wooden logs that ranged from the sizes of long benches to stools, in the huge open ground and any group of Alphas could arrange their own personal camp fires and sit around it.

Since their other room mates had either gone to sleep or were having dinner, the trio settled around a small camp fire with long copper skews and a bag of marshmallows to enjoy the rest of the night under the starlit sky, while talking and savoring the toasty, chewy snack.

“Ah, these are the times where I feel like pouring my heart out to you guys.” Jackson spoke with a dreamy smile, as Sebastian passed him a weary side glance, while roasting his marshmallows.

“You pour your heart out too much these days, I remember you saying this exact same phrase three days ago in the lunch hall, Jackson.” Adrian said with a chuckle.

“Don’t keep such good memory Adrian, it’s bad for health.” Jackson remarked with a frown, making Sebastian scoff.

“You’re always spouting nonsense Jackson, let Adrian say something this time.” Sebastian encouraged, catching the youngest off guard.

“Me? No Sebastian, I don’t have anything much to talk about.” Adrian spoke sheepishly, in a hurry, flustered at the sudden spotlight he was put in.

“Come on, Adrian, you really never tell us anything about yourself.” Jackson said and tried to pull Adrian’s cheeks, but the younger Alpha pushed him away, using the marshmallow rod, laughing at the pouty expression on the other’s face.

“That is because, you never let him, Jackson, you need to shut up first, to hear people.” Sebastian accused Jackson casually, while putting in more twigs in the fire.

“Okay don’t be mean, I’m giving him a chance now.” Jackson defended himself, as the oldest Alpha shrugged his shoulders and settled quickly, excited to hear from the younger too.

“I really don’t have much to say about myself, you already know about my hobbies and my family.” Adrian spoke, chewing slowly.

“Not that Adrian, tell us something about your personal life, any incidents or about any of your friends?” Sebastian asked, looking at the youngest of the group with a fond smile, he has always adored the talented young boy and unlike Jackson, he was rarely ever rude to him.

“Well, I don’t think you have many friends but I’m sure you have a few close ones like us, back home.” Jackson piped in cheerfully.

“What kind of demoralizing encouragement is that Jackson, honestly, just please remain quiet.” Sebastian groaned in irritation and kicked the other boy’s ankle.

“I actually do.” Adrian mumbled softly, halting the actions of both the Alphas seated in front.

“You have a close friend?” Jackson asked curiously and the younger Alpha nodded, shyly.

“He’s my best friend.” Adrian said, his cheeks heating up in the cold weather.

“That is so great Adrian, tell us about him.” Sebastian complimented; he was happy that the younger was opening up to them.

“Yes, tell us, is he grumpy like Sebastian or a fantastic person like me!?” Jackson asked excitedly, earning a laugh from Adrian and an eyeroll from Sebastian.

“He’s an Omega.” Adrian spoke, and he prepared himself to defend any judgmental remarks against his Omega friend, but in turn, he was surprised by how his Alpha friends reacted.

“Wow, that is so cool, Adrian you’re so lucky, male Omegas are so rare and you have one as your best friend!” Jackson exclaimed in fascination.

“I totally agree with Jackson, for once.” Sebastian replied in awe too.

Adrian felt glad to have befriended such admirable and open-minded Alphas.

“Tell us more, how is he?” Jackson asked, delightfully bouncing on his seat.

“He’s very pretty.” Adrian replied softly, his pale cheeks flaring red.

“Oh my god, I meant his personality, but your answer is so cute!” Jackson started squealing and hitting Sebastian with his fists.

“You’re so weird, get away from me!” The older Alpha pushed away a still squealing Jackson, while Adrian became a flustered tomato.

“I think I should go to sleep, I’m tired.” Adrian excused, hiding his flaming cheeks and practically ran from his friends, who tried to stop him, but then started chasing each other for some reason and the youngest escaped quickly, taking the opportunity.

Adrian’s heart was beating rapidly in his chest, for which he blamed the running he did, to reach their dorm.

The youngest unlocked the door and quickly jumped on his bed, switching on the night lamp, even though he knew, he was far from sleep.

Their dorm was very spacious and had two rooms, Adrian shared his room with Sebastian, while the other room was occupied by Jackson and two others.

The raven-haired Alpha heaved a sigh and sat up half way on his bed, as he looked out of the open window on the bedside.

The full moon shown clearly, amongst thousands of stars.

Somewhere further away from him, also was an Omega who was looking at the same moon, through his own window.

Two different places, two different souls, but the full moon became a witness, of how their hearts chanted the same phrase, “I miss you.”

Enrique rubbed his shoulders to steal some warmth, as he scrutinized the thick clouds overhead.A spike of piercing lightning forced him to look away from the sky, when his gaze fell on the small gathering around the pack infirmary. He could not see clearly through the window, but it appeared like an emergency in the middle of the night, he could make out the silhouettes of the pack nurses and Elio and Adrian among a few unfamiliar ones. His feet moved automatically towards the door, he would do anything for those two at this point, Elio and Adrian had become important people in his life, it was because of them that his existence had become purposeful again. He was aware the pack Alpha was unavailable at the moment, and in his absence a commotion near the infirmary didn’t seem like good news.He took hurried steps towards where Elio was now standing, helping a stranger remove his overcoat and checking him for injuries, and damn did the stranger look bloodied.“Like I said, it is not my

  • The Red-Eyed Omega   Crescent Haze

Adrian gently pushed the door open into his spacious room, as he put the smiling Omega back onto his feet, on the soft hardwood floor.Elio inhaled the refreshing, mahogany scent of the Alpha that lingered everywhere in the room, it was an oddly familiar feeling, coming back here again after a handful years. There was the same large bed next to the wall, the dark curtains that swayed lightly in the moonlit breeze slipping in from the full-sized sliding window of the empty balcony, and the metal wind chime that tinkled along, most of the things in this room were the same as before, at first glance, yet there were a few changes. The little things that Elio observed, showed that the Alpha had grown up with time. There were twin longswords hanging on the far wall, a small writing desk with a stack of scrolls and papers, occupied a warm corner by the hearth. The rosewood shelf across the room was bigger now and fuller with different books and metal badges, signifying Adrian’s various achie

  • The Red-Eyed Omega   Graphite Moon

Adrian, Elio, and their friends reached pack Nova by early dusk, they were warmly welcomed by the representative pack members and everyone seemed elated to be in their presence. The residents of the Nova pack were very excited to meet their Alpha heir’s friends, they pretended to go about their everyday chores out in the fields, with an actual intention to catch a glimpse, of the most famous young wolves of their generation. There were hushed noises of awe, surprise, and heartfelt gushes, especially as the wondering eyes of the crowd fell over the chattering Omega whose hands were entwined softly, with their brightly grinning Alpha. Elio and Adrian were in the spotlight even as they merely walked towards the Fenrys residence. The people had not seen Adrian be this comfortable with anyone other than his father, everyone could immediately tell that Elio meant a lot to him. There was no denying that there were substantial rumors about the male Omega, ever since the events of the rog

  • The Red-Eyed Omega   Freckling Sunset

Elio had been to the Nova pack, a couple of times before when he was younger, but this time, felt a whole lot different for him. They were going to Adrian’s pack to meet his friends according to what they had planned, and it pushed the dainty little Omega’s nerves to the edge, thinking about all sorts of things, while sitting cross legged on the bed. What kind of impression would he have on his Alpha friends, would they judge him? would he be able to act normally in front of Alpha Fenrys? Will he end up embarrassing everyone? All these questions were driving him anxious.“Elio?” Adrian’s voice snapped him out of his internal panicking and he turned to look at the Alpha who had just stepped out of the bathroom. He was freshly showered, his hair dripping wet, dampening the plain white shirt he had on.“I asked you for a towel,” The Alpha repeated and purposely ruffled his drenched hair to sprinkle droplets of water on Elio, who giggled and reached for the towel near the cupboard, but th

  • The Red-Eyed Omega   Enlivening Flow

“Let go of me, please, let go!” A high-pitched voice resonated amidst the deserted forest, situated near the pack borders of the Cypress that appeared dark and eerie, surrounded by dense vegetation clogging the moonlight.“What did you think, you could escape you disgusting little wench!” A deeper voice answered and the sound of agonizing screams accompanied, as the two bulky figures began kicking a collapsed whimpering bundle on the rocky ground.“No, please!” The petite male cried, “please let me go, I won’t ever try to run away again, I beg you!” The young boy pleaded clutching his abused stomach, and weakly struggled to a kneeling position, using the leftover strength in his frail, bruised arms.“This is what you deserve, you thankless whore, we have shown mercy letting such a lowlife breed like you to stay in our chambers despite being rejected twice and this is how you repay us!” The taller

  • The Red-Eyed Omega   Definition of Love

Elio was impatiently tapping his foot waiting for Adrian to return from the infirmary, since he had got a lot of rest the entire day, the petite male couldn’t sleep a wink, and he was only looking forward to spend his time cuddling with the Alpha, while being all warm and snug in his safe arms. It was a little selfish on his part to make Adrian stay the night, but the Omega couldn’t help it because he had really gotten used to the Alpha’s calming presence. Honestly, if it were up to him, the Omega would have preferred for the Alpha to stay forever, but then again, he didn’t have the courage to say that to him, nor the right. Adrian was an Alpha heir, and he definitely had more important responsibilities than to hang around a silly Omega, who was secretly crushing on him. Elio had finally let himself admit that he had a crush on his best friend, which was obviously only the half-truth, the Omega still didn’t allow his heart to proclaim the more transpa
